with all the shiite thats going on with Melbourne Football Club i hope the Melb members stand by diamond joe who is having a real hard crack at maintaining sensibilities down at the Demons.

Good on him for not taking crap and doing his best to oust the back stabbers!

I think hes done a lot for Melb and deserves a lot of kudos and credit for getting a winning culture back with the team - be it admin, coaching staff and team.

face it they were doing pretty ordinary and looking down the barrel before he came in to help fix things up...how dare some of these high rolling fat cats try to come in and push him out after all his hard work.

Who else thinks Joe has done good down there?

Don't always agree with Joseph but all power to him on this one.

And seeing Alan Stockdale whining about needing more than one poinyt of view will resonate with all who suffered when He and Jeff ran victoria with the rest of the libs reading the papers to find out what was happening.

I am quite happy for Joe to be President, but this is just stuipid. To do this mid year is a joke. What happens everytime someone disagrees with him. Are we going to vote them off. I do not like this at all.

Take a look at the alleged calibre of person that's up against him: Bill Guest - the man who allegedly bought Melbourne memberships for his furniture business employees so he could allegedly use their proxy votes to pass the alleged merger; Ian Johnson - allegedly a confidant of Eddie McGuire and an alleged big nob at Crown Casino; and Alan Stockdale - allegedly the treasurer of the alleged Kennett junta...'nuff said.

Joe's biggest problem is he's too honest.

Those guys shoulgd have done the honourable thing and fell on their sword then.

If I were Joe I would remove the ridiculous situation where the cricket club (which has no cricket team I think) has influence at the footy club.

One of the main reasons I said NO to the merger. merging with melbourne was bad enough but having influence from the MCC was too much.

Stockdale should realise he is finished. Yesterdays rooster.

well i think its better to get rid of the kiniving ones that a destablizing the demons mid season than have this crap continually coming up for everyone ..be it board, members, admin, coaches and players to deal with thru out the season

i think good-on joe for taking the bull by the horns and trying to fix the problem...get rid of em!

Its amazing to me how many Melbourne members know so little about what is happening at that Football Club!!!

Joe is the best thing that has happened to the club since sliced bread.
We had pathetic administration, coaching, IMAGE, etc. for so long and now some people want to return to the past. These Directors do nothing but make fun of Joe behind his back....I have seen it happen and its taken so long for him to believe what they are like.
GET RID OF THEM QUICK JOE, THEY WANT TO STAB YOU IN THE BACK.
The Demons no longer want to be a social club, but a football club.
He's been too good to them for too long.

You pack of hypocritical pricks when this story broke a month ago you all said it was manufactured by eddie and you accused him of trying to unsettle the melb footy club.Some of you seemed to think he was'conflict of interest'which i gather seems to be the 'in expression' at the moment not that half of you morons would know what it meant.

Joe has got to remain president of the melb football club who gives a s.h.i.t what stockdale (typical melbourne w***er)and what his other cronies have got to say the D.I.C.K.H.E.A.DS WERE ONLY TOO HAPPY TO TAKE HIS MONEY WHEN THEY NEEDED IT.
