Richie was the one early that started us with putting his head over the footy, run etc
he set the ball rolling that turned it into Christmas at the G :D

I have bagged him on this board but was very impressed with his work last night and during the week promoting the game. 1st quarter he looked to be best on and pretty dangerous when he went forward. Good to see him stringing together what looks to be a good season for him.

I don't mean to break up the parade but I actually thought he had a pretty ordinary game. Started like a house on fire and then went missing for a long period. Didn't do nearly enough to satisfy me.

His promotional work was top notch however and really looks a genuinely good character to have round the club. I have the patience to wait for him to develop but I'm not going to close my eyes and pretend last night was anything like a good game for him.

after tambling started on fire..i must say i'm a little disappointed that he didnt' go on with it......he still had a decent game in my opinion and did fire us up....however would have liked for him to really set the game on fire for 4 quarters and get close to 30 possessions....

nevertheless..well done richie..

i thought he was poor actually, apart from the first 10 mins where he was lively, he was very ordinary

Started well, but then I could have gotten a kick in the 1st half.
13 touches suggests Richard didn't have a big influence on the game. Should be ripping the Bummers a new one by now.

Well it was the dreamtime game so surely he was allowed to go walkabout.:p

Wasnt a star but certainly more than serviceable. Would have been a very big night for that young man on the Dreamtime stage. Would have wanted to not stuff up in front of the indigenous guys down from NT in curtain raiser as well as tossing the coin and a TV appearance afterwards. Handled himself very professionally and is coming along nicely. I think he may simialr to Lids, not have the big break out game just continue to improve week on week.

Really thought he was in for a big one after his 1st quarter. Was easily the best play on the park till then and was still in the top 3 by half time. Faded badily after half time, I didnt see him once in the third (can somebody far more pro active then me tell me if he got much gametime in the 3rd). But In the 4th was around the packs and was scrapping for every ball. Didnt get many possies but kept Essendon from getting clearances.

Was very hard at it. My biggest criticism is he kept diving on the ball, tho he is not alone there, when he should be trying to keep his feet.

But geez i love the look of our future midfield Foley, Deledio, Tambling, Polo, Cotchin, Edwards and Connors. Not to mention the guys that will hopefully fit around them like Collins, Matty White, Morton maybe a Jackson. And if Collard and Meyer reach their potential well thats the kind of bonus that will make us a premiership side.
