I have no idea, I'm just really ****ed off...why the hell did he let them mic him up against Collingwood of all teams ?

I don't listen to the TV so I wasn't aware they did it.

I just don't think sacking a coach half way through a season is going to acheive anything - except unsettle them further.

Funny how we pulled their pants down in the first quarter and looked like rolling them by 10 goals - and then after Ayres' televised qtr time address when he gave some detailed strategic orders and plans out we came completely undone and looked worse than Glenorchy! :p

Micky Malthouse mustn't have been watching the Socceroos vs Turkiye game!

:o I just think a little positive thinking can go a mile in the club.

Anyone remember that little red engine;
"If I think I can, I will"

Plus I mean, I rate the Bulldogs and Hawthorn really low, so we arent guaranteed the bottom possie on the ladder.

Sack the lot of them

Its a pity you cant sack the lot of them and start again

What happened to the team building etc from training this week

As much as people may bag it, I think the coach has gone

You cant sack a whole team and the likely scapegoat is the coach

It is his job to get them winning and if he cant achieve it then its probably time for a new coach and some fresh ideas, as most people on this forum seem to bag him for his lack of tactial awareness etc on game day.

We are in a shocking position on the ladder so we cant get any worse by trying some one like gary """"""" from brisbane ( cant spell his last name)

Whilst I admire your positive thinking, at some time you must look into the mirror and see the true person looking back at you

We must admit were we are and not keep living in a dream world

We will win a few between now and the end of the season but we have a lot of work to do to rebuild the team to a finals team

I don't believe in sacking coaches mid-season either however if we are deciding not to renew his contract (and that will be likely given our current predicament) then what do we have to lose? I'm all mixed up and we don't seem to have a game plan. Needed another tall tonight especially when you keep bombing it in.

Doughty is 25 this year and in his fifth season... and he's nothing more than an SANFL player. People talk about him like he's this promising 21yo, he's not, he's a mediocre player in the Clay Sampson mould.

Too many times Doughty was too slow with his decision making and there was many an occasion when he looked to get on his right too much. When we were up and flying early in that second quarter he was clear on goal and could've shot on his left, but no, he had to look for his right and was buried holding the ball.
Thank you very much. Someone that calls it us it is. How can anyone say that Doughty had a good game. He had a stinker. Yes he got a bit of the ball but his decision making was pathetic and he was way too slow on a number of occasions. That bit in the second quarter where he had an opportunity to kick for goals but switched over to his right and got caught was UNFORGIVABLE. You would forgive it if he was a 22 or 22 year old with 10 odd games of AFL footy but he is a 25 year old and approaching the 50 game mark.

Also please tell me what has mattner done. His disposal was pathetic by either hand or foot. Begley played his worst game for the year.

Exactly.

The way some people talk about him here you'd think he was Chris Judd.

Well said ant

From the worst team thread

well said ant I have to agree

One can only hope.....

People couldn't have expected much more from tonight, you only had to look at our side to see how many very average* to average players we had in, there hasn't been a Crows' side like it for years. Good, ordinary players that just aren't good enough for AFL competition. Sadly, our experienced guys didn't lift that extra notch to compensate.

Quite simply, yes, we are currently the worst side in the AFL.

Carey needs some help up forward. He needs another tall who can take a mark.

We've said for a while that Carey will really help Watts out, which is true.

However I also think the really interesting part of a Watts/Carey structure is how much Watts could help Carey.

Play the boy at FF or a pocket or flank. His height and courage should provide us with another target we desperatley need.

Yeah, we definitely could have used another tall in the forward lines, a genuine tall to go with Carey.

Why didn't we play another one, particularly when we knew we were going to play Kenny back ? We were always going to be one short.

And it's a broken record but boy, do we need some forward crumbers...

Lost another footy tip

The thing that really gets me is that I lost another footy tip
so not much chance of winning the fifty bucks at the end of the season when they play this way

Yep you're right - if we had say one more tall and two more crumbers than Colingwood we would have won the game - 21 players v 18!:p

Are you kidding me? were you even watching the same game channel 9 broadcasted on tv. Begley was good till injured, not bad/worse for a mile I'm speaking to Radar on the phone right now and I have just told her what you said; She tells me that you must be drunk, because noone in their right state of mind would have thought he played a bad game.

Oh and stop dissing mattner, he did a good job. His tackling was intense! That one on Rocca in the first quarter was magnificent! even radar says he was important to the side.

ahh WWT supporters...can any Sturt boys do so wrong? And Radar informs me; if you dare target any more sturt players (Ie; THE Brent Reilly) she will dispose of you in her gutter! :p That was a message from her, not me.

Give me a ****ing break.

He had his pants pulled down by Didak. If only Didak kicked straighter he would have kicked as many as Tarrant. Yes he got plenty of the ball but what he does is run out of defence and blaze it up forward. His disposal was second rate.

Have watched the game. Mattner once again had his pants pulled down by Woewodin. He had 10 touches and he burned every one of them. His kicks never hit the targets. He missed a team mate 2 meters away with a handball and there was no Collingwood supporter in sight.

Begley was not our worst player but he certainly wasn't on eof our best either. He burnt the ball and Didak pulled his pants down.

Nothing against sturt players but if they don't perform they don't perform. I bag the likes of Burton and Shirkey and last time I checked they are from WWT.

I tend to agree with AngelEyes Stiffy. I thought Begley was pretty good while he was on and we lost a lot of dash when he went off. I'd be interested in seeing just how many of Didak's possessions were actually got while Begley was on the ground.

Mattner didn't do too bad a job on Wowoedin on the wing, with Woey being moved onto the ball - 2nd quarter I think.

You had 21 vs 18 - how about that free kick count in your favour!

You sound like that bleating whiner, Eddie McChins.

Quote the free kicks that we received that we shouldn't have - you'll struggle.

Collingwood were playing from behind early.

Sorry I disagree. Begley was not the worst player out there bu he wasn't one of our best either. Again I say, Didak was dangerous when he was on Begley. He kicked a goal and missed a couple on Begley. Yes Begley got a lot of the ball and rovided reboun but he wasted the footy.

Mattner was hopeless. End of story. He was down right pathetic and WAS our worst player. Yes he laid 3 good tackles but apart from that he was PATHETIC.
