meesen hasn't shown anything at VFL level to warrant a call up according to all reports... so he may hold his spot if we want PJ to stay down back next week where he did reasonably well today...

5 frees is 5 frees, you're wasting your breath trying to defend it.

PJ wont play back again, he was there because Tippett is ruckman size. He might have kept Tippett to 5 kicks, but everyone of them was a shot on goal & he kicked 4.1 which is a pretty good return.

Good effort from PJ playing out of position, but i hope i never see him in the defence again.

I'm glad PJ is back, hopefully he can continue to improve and show form that he had before he was injured.

deefolt, a loss is a loss, the club didnt pick dean bailey and change direction to lose by less and win a few games. look at the hawks 3 yrs ago...they were terrible, they had zac dawson at full back regularly getting 10 kicked on him. travis johnstone was a good trade he was only as good as the guy winning the footy for him, brisbane have alot of those players so he can use his devastating skills there, we didnt. If you've played footy you'd understand how hard it is to get 25+ players to do one thing in sync. Even harder when u dont have the required abilities to execute it...yet. Jamar has always been a liability, I'm not sure how but we got rid of Troy Simmonds and Darren Jolly. Hopefully Meesen has an AFL future. I'd hate to see the likes of Robbo finishing there careers elsewhere, he doesnt have enough left in him to warrant a trade, he is a big part of melbourne-his post game on ground interview shows why he belongs no where else.

Look out! It's another one who wants to "trade away" all our players. Come up with something original.

I dont want to trade all our players, just those who can bring us more quality youngsters..
The likelyhood of us winning a flag in Robertson/Bruces playing days - are looking slim, so Id opt to move them on to another club - and pick up a quality kid in the draft, with an aim to build a team around McLean, Jones, Morton, Bate and other talented youngsters at the club..

I believe moving the Greens, Bruces on - that we can gain more top 10 picks and bring a few more exciting youngsters on board, might even help the membership drive..

How can you say Miller is a gem... he is a dud! This is the 6th year he has been at the club and he has only played 2 good games in that time. Both games against freo, one this year and the other a few years ago in the finals! Terrible, he wont be worth a thing when we finally decide to trade him!

Secondly Miller is a good player that has hardly been played in position, when he has played in position he has been more then handy, as you see most big footy posters have kept him in their sides as opposed to tossing him out. in fact if miller came up for trade negotiations today, if we are really serious about the club there will be noone here seriously considering not signing him up.

The thing I am saying though is that Daniher wasn't embarrassing Melbourne, people are comparing us to Fitzroy atm, no offence to Fitzroy but the last year was woeful from them, our year, this year, is not that much different.
Johnstone would prob have been a lot of better under bailey, daniher let players get along with everything.
Troy Simmonds and Darren Jolly saw greener pastures, Jolly wanted to be number one ruckmen, (how funny is it that everitt is the number one atm)
Yes most definitely we should keep robbo, but the chance of trading him was there, and dare i say it we should have taken it, given him away not johnno, johnstone could have turned out to be the next Woey, thank god for him he wasnt, woey loved the red and blue, jonno's father played for fitzroy maybe suits him better, but woey should have been a number one club player.

I'm only 50/50 with Moloney... I love him and want him to do well, but what has he done for MFC? Understand he has been injured, but when he does play his disposal is second grade! He throws it on the boot, kicks it long and hopes for the best.

Agree with Jamar. All he best too him but we have a lot of Ruckmen now. Moloney is awesome. Yes sometimes he does kick it long and hope for the best but it was him and his bombing forward which started the comeback against Freo. I wouldn't be getting rid of Miller, Green or Bruce. We will need them soon. I think Robbo has a place but he'sgonna struggle after this year. He's a FP not a FF. Valenti Maric Aussie all look good up front and then there's Garland. Carroll, Holland, Chris Johnson all gone at the end of the year and there are a few border line Young ones as well.

Jamar doesn't get possesions, thats the thing...PJ gets them and is pretty useful with them. Jamar gets hit outs and puts them straight down the throat of the opposition..Id prefer PJ ahead of my beloved Russian at the moment

I never said that Jamar didnt play well against freo, but apart from that game he has been terrible and his game against the crows proved. Sure he played one great game but PJ played 3 good games before, that should of outwieghed wat jamar did in one game.

Also PJ is more than handy ruckman hit outs are an overrated stat i would much rather ruckman who goes alright in the tap outs and finds a bit of the ball as opposed to a ruckman that can win tap outs till the cows come home but couldn't get a kick in a stree fight. ala Mark Jamar
