in my humble opinion this is the greatest movie of the last 20 years, how it only won 1 oscar for best supporting oscar for joe pesci is a disgrace,a movie masterpiece of the highest order with acting and directing that is sensational

The whole '80s' sequence with a paranoid Ray Liotta running around coked up to his eyeballs (soundtracked to George Harrison and the Stones)...probably about as good as filmmaking gets.

Honorable mentions also too.....

- the 'Whadda you mean im a funny guy?" scene.

- the 'Spider' scene featuring a young Michael Imperioli..

Didn't Lorraine Bracco ( Dr Melfi from THE SOPRANOS ) win for best supporting actress ??
Fantastic movie that if i see as i'm surfing through foxtel , always start watching again.

Always laugh when Henry's at the police station and the cop says " Hahaaaaa...bye-bye ******** !!! "

Probably my favourite film of all time, brilliant film.

Never forget the first time I watched it, was blown away and I never get sick of re-watching it. Been a huge Scorsese fan ever since.

I'm not much a movie watcher but this is definitely one of my favourites. One of the few good films that does the rounds on 9, I came accross it accidently a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it.

One of my favourite movies ever, the whole thing from start to end is as close to cinematic perfection you can get. Great acting, fantastic directing, brilliant screenplay, even a killer soundtrack. One of those movies you never get tired of. The Academy is a disgrace for ignoring a feat like this.

Just borrowed it off my uncle and will probably watch it this weekend. Huge fan of Scorsese's recent movies like the Departed and Shutter Island so I'll start checking out some of his classics.

This pretty much sums it up for me too :thumbsu:

Sheer masterpiece..

The soundtrack is superb, Scorsese doesn't put a foot wrong....

I prefer the start to the end

the first 45 minutes or so are immense, if you haven't sat down with a drink you're going thirsty.

in my top 5 for sure

Wall St, Godfather 2, The Great Escape, Shawshank.

Brilliant.

First Blu Ray I ever bought.

Mustve seen this movie over 40 times in my life, I guess ever since I can remember I always wanted to be a gangster.

"Into the ****en oven you go"

I know what you mean. To me, being a gangster was better than being President of the United States.
