Liked the latest episode.

Penguin continuing to own, love how he is playing both sides in particular Batista, sorry I mean Marone.

Love Fish Mooney's new sidekick and hope to see more of her and by more I do mean with less clothes on.

The Gordon and Bruce scenes are still a bit forced but forgivable.

Like that they are gonna keep the gothic look to Arkham Asylum.

So judging by the Channel 9 adverts, there will be a Joker.

And the forensic bloke is The Riddler.

Have watched all 4 episodes in a row tonight and noticed something quite weird.

At the end of episode 3, when the Penguin rocks up at Gordon's apartment, Barbara says, "Jim" and the camera pans to show the Penguin standing there.

Then at the start of episode 4, in the small section that recaps the major events of the previous episodes it shows Barbara saying "Jim, it's for you", and then pans to show the Penguin.

Odd that they'd go to the trouble of re-filming about a second of footage for seemingly no reason.

Not so much a matter of re-filming. They probably took several takes of the scene, which is completely normal. They then used one take for the ad and another for the actual show. They probably made the promo first, then changed their minds about which take to use when it came to actually putting the show together.

It wasn't an ad though, it was the segment at the start of episode 4 that recaps the prior episodes.

And it was the other way around, the actual clip in episode 3 was shorter than the clip in the recap segment in episode 4.

You don't say ;) haha. They overdo his parts, so hammy; but the Riddler is a shit character anyway tbf.
Agree with Mooneys new girl. Though was hoping she would be Harley Quinn.
If they had Harley Quinn (which I doubt, she'd still be a kid) and changed her origin story one iota, I would riot. Greatest origin story of any Batman villain (and obviously doesn't work before the Joker is introduced anyway).

The Riddler is way over done, everything about it needs to be scrapt and redone. the casting is all wrong for him, so is his current job.

Fish's new toy will be something like White Rabbit just not the back story, or someone similar.

Might have to give this a miss for a while. Everything feels a bit too forced and all over the shop to me (except for the penguin!) Might look it up in a month or so and see if its begun to get into a groove.

I think this will be a show that'll take a while to develop into something great.
I hope that'll be the outcome anyway.

Not completely loving it, but I'll hang in there only because of what the show is.

It's just started on terrestrial TV here.

I liked the first ep a lot, the lad from Southland was great casting.

While Esp 4 was the best so far it does nothing to save the series, want to give it a chance but it's all over the shop and can't decide what it wants to be.

Nah. It's safe. It is out-rating Dancing with the Stars and only getting beaten by Big Bang Theory and The Voice.

Based on what? At the moment it has been a pretty standard police procedural with the overhanging stories following the origins of some future villains.

The concept is pretty good and clear as far as I'm concerned.

One min its campy, the next its serous drama , then its a Gordon origin story, then it focusses on Bruce/penguin.

It's all over the place

So what if it is juggling a few narratives at once? I'm not finding it particularly hard to follow, especially seeing as how many of these different stories are leading to the same events taking place.

I didn't say it was hard to follow, my point was as you continually overlook is that it has no focus abd it's all over the place.

Don't bother quoting me again if you're going to say the same thing again.

It's focusing primarily on around half a dozen characters. Hell, Gordon gets around 80 percent of the screentime. It's not that hard.
