They’ve announced two blokes from NTFL upon their Facebook page . Harley McCarthy and Daniel Weetra .
Assume that’s what grass cutter is referring .
Thunder premiership player, Weetra adds depth and experience to Thunder’s squad and was a key member of the Wanderers 2015 NTFL premiership side. After never shielding from running back or front on into a contest, was presented the Thunder Most Courageous Award at the 2019 Club Champion night. He has the ability to play as a tall/small defender and possesses a dynamic skill set that allows him to impact the play. Weetra was recruited from his junior club, Wanderers Football Club.

Not sure about McCarthy.

Talk about hit and miss with these top end recruits I’d like to know the stats on how many of these NT players play out the full season or head back home by mid season

McCarthy is originally from Yarrawonga and will be living and working locally. Currently playing with Tiwi Bombers.
Plays CHB.

Dan Weetra will be one of the better players in the GV. He will be living in Melbourne. Plays for Wanderers and made the NT Thunder team of the decade.
Impressive leap and mark. Usually a back but can play forward.

How do you think Tat are shaping up overall? It sounds like teams that were towards the bottom will have stronger lists than last year.

Will be better but most sides will be.
Tat will also have Jimmy Nihill back from spending 2022 travelling overseas and Andrew Civa back from a year in Darwin which will help.

Pretty tough run over the first 5 weeks for Tat. Can't see them getting on the board until round 6.
We need the gap between the bottom and top to get smaller. Hopefully with some of these recruits and others mentioned across the board we see the gap start to shrink. Doesn’t necessarily translate to wins though. Hopefully we don’t see score lines where sides only manage a couple of goals or less as happened a few times this season. A strong comp will benefit us all in the long run.

Benalla will improve significantly. Shepparton and the Swans should be better. The top 4 will be between the same teams with Echuca, Euroa, Kyabram, Mooroopna, Seymour and Mansfield all in the mix. Just feel that it's going to be a long tough season for Tat and United.

Mooroopna playing under a different salary cap?

And Noble Park’s first key recruit for 2020 is … Berwick’s captain.
The Bulls have locked in Bryce Rutherford, one of the Wicks’ most accomplished and respected players and a former VFL Casey Demon.
He figured in Berwick’s 2017-18 premierships but missed 2019 after suffering a knee injury in Round 1.
“Midfield depth, a bit of polish, a bit of class, he’s been in good systems, he was VFL-listed,’’ new Bulls coach Steve Hughes said of Rutherford.
“We’re trying to create a bit of depth around the midfield.
“One of the priorities was to sign a good one, and we have.
“We need some support for the likes of Kyle (Martin) and Jackson (Sketcher) when we have a heavy load of VFL-players and you do and don’t know when you have them.
“Part of our strategy is to thicken up our group of 25 to 30-year-olds. We’re actually a very young footy club. I won’t close the door on any good young kid coming through but our targets are the older types, like Bryce.’’

Rutherford emerged in the VFL in 2014, being recognised as Casey’s most improved player.
That year he gained an invitation to train at Melbourne in the lead-up to the national draft.
Rutherford had made his senior debut at Berwick under Dean Rice in 2012 and he returned there in 2016.

Played over points last season.... might play over salary cap this season....

Looks like the Cats are becoming the real deal under John Lamont... They'll be tough to beat.

Did here that they had lost at least one of the Hunt brothers which would be a big loss.

The points debarcle is a sore point.
Still no one knows if there was a
Fine.
Sanction.
Suspended sentence.
Reprimand.
Or zero.
Kept completely in house.
So where is the disincentive to cheat?
It should be made public what the consequence was, so that it is transparent and it is seen by every club that if caught, the effect it has on your current season or following season is dire.
As it stands it appears that Mooroopna or someone associated with the league or aflvic has a severe conflict of interest.
You usually don’t have to look to far.
I might be completely wrong, but with no statement or information from the league it allows this sort of innuendo to fester and grow.
Rant over.

I think you will find they copped a fine for being over the points in one match. A decent sized fine from what I heard. In regards to the list alot of the guys they have announced are on VFL lists plus they already had a couple on lists this year not ideal but I guess sides like Mooroopna along with Ky who have added a couple of VFL players are hoping they will get qualified for finals and bridge the gap to the Echuca's & Euroas.
