Graham v Browne - Who would you keep?

I reckon Gus is, at best, a B grade AFL ruck. His ruck numbers are fairly good and he can get around the ground and do some decent things. I can't see him ever being A grade, but a decent backup / break even AFL ruck.

Browne is good in the ruck and gets into good positions. But he doesn't kick and slows down the play. If in the VFL / training he shows he can move it on and add to our movement then my assessment is off. But he just seems very one dimensional. However, he is young and maybe has more tricks than what he has shown.

Overall, the two of them are B grade backups with some talent. But not stars. Pretty good for rookie picks. TV can be a star, wait 2/3 more years until he has grown into his body and plays long periods in the ruck. I personally don't see why we are in such a rush for a top ruck. Wait until we have a top midfield then trade for one. We have enough talent to end up with a decent ruck division - especially if TV fulfills his talent. But then I am not in the football division and so don't know what the inside thinking is. I just reckon we are playing for 2013/16, not for now.

i have very high hopes for derickx next season. he was very good in the wafl last year, playing no 1 ruck on very big wafl grounds and moving around. his tank is there to develop, he just needs a full pre-season.

he has a massive crack and will be excellent around the grounds with the 2nd and 3rd efforts at ground level.

browne looks like he can play that back up role fairly well but assuming we get clarke, mcintosh, bell-chambers or whoever were after then i think graham is the one that has to go, 25 this season i think and just struggles in general, mobility, jumping, hit outs, the hair cut and numerous other issues.
