just posting this for a mate

Chasing 1 possibly 2 tickets

Pm me if you know anyone trying to offload em sanks

Is he a member (Priority 2)? Just think they should get first dibs.

My father in law missed out on a ticket. He has been a member forever. His dad played for Richmond (with Jack Dyer) and he also played Richmond reserves himself. He is shattered. I offered up my ticket (I'm an AFL Gold Member), but he didn't want to take the risk that I might lose my membership.

Yeah his a member, unfortunately wasn't allocated a ticket, his been getting a few bites but nothing official. Pretty ridiculous at some of the ppl who get access to tickets, former players who have been out of the system for years and scrub gws players even have access. Eye opening how fked the system is.

I'm chasing a couple if anyone has them. For a friend. She and her daughter both Tigers fans, members, been to their other finals, missed on the ballot. She's had a tough year this year losing her hubby to the big C so we're looking far and wide. PM me.

If you get an over the top scalping grub try your best to dob him in to the AFL or even better the cops, I mean the really greedy ones who are trying to completely max their profits at $5,000 for two - corporate jerks who should not have got their hands on them in the first place.

Yeah, I've already had offers of $2k for standard seating and $3.5k for superbox tickets.

I missed out and I'm a Gold AFL member, blokes I go with haven't missed out in over 15 years.
Were you online to get tickets when they opened up for your non-club support category?

It is really sad that supporters missed out. I am a gold member but didn't try for seats as thought it better that the fans of the clubs get them first.

The sad state of affairs means tickets only go sparingly to club members of the competing clubs.

Priority is given to AFL big wigs and their partners, MCC members, AFL members, sponsors, give away competitions, media, players, allocations to non competing clubs etc.
Then the members have a smaller group of tickets.

At least the AFL Gold members who have nominated club support of one of the competing clubs get first crack at the seats in the AFL reserve.

Yep right at 2pm, ready 15 minutes earlier.

Did any Gold AFL members here or non-club support Gold that you know of get tickets?

I had other mates who got tickets easy though Gold membership.

My friend got 4 tickets for him and his members in AFL, i think you just have to get on at the very start. Non - club support.

It's ridiculous the price tickets are selling for. I know it's been a while for Richmond, but when I had to buy a scalped ticket in the Pies 2010 and 2011 GF, both years the price was about $600. I don't know how the market has gone to thousands since then!!

Not quite. They can still cancel the ticket. Like them or loathe them, the afl is an organization that scares the scalpers... But best to dob them into the cops...

That's because 'private citizen' scalpers threaten the AFL's monopoly on the practise.
The AFL sanctions each club to 'package' gf tickets all for $1K - $2K (as a revenue raiser) as long as they provide some scrambled eggs and a comedian. RE: North Melbourne breakfast ($1190), Collingwood at Crown ($1900).
AFL Travel has offered GF tickets since the start of the year. Airfare, Accommodation and ticket $4500.
But you'll see Gill on tv this week threatening scalpers for taking advantage of loyal supporters.
Makes me puke every year.

Testify!!!

It's a fuggen disgrace. Meanwhile every TV & Radio station has tickets to give away.

Then each competing team gets 17K odd for their supporters. Remember Gill's year of the fan? Maybe the corpulent toad should've just addressed this issue.

**** I hate the double standard, corrupt AFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sums up young Gill perfectly. As long as it only effects the plebs hey Gill. Not even on his property. He lost.

After a year of campaigning against a proposed $700 million wind farm, AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan today begins a legal fight to protect his childhood home before a full-bench court in Adelaide...

Before today’s appeal hearing, Mr McLachlan said he was “frankly heartbroken that this land will be forever marred by enormous man-made structures” that will stand 165m high along a stretch of ranges close to his pastoral property Rosebank, founded by an ancestor, George Melrose, in 1843...

Mr McLachlan’s stance against the project, which is expected to provide intermittent power to 250,000 homes, comes as he has committed the AFL to reducing its carbon footprint and encouraged AFL fans to “work together for a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable future’’.
