Thursday: Is this last training day? Anyone got details, I am wanting to go along. This is a good tradition among competing clubs.

Friday: Parade. Lucky I work in the CBD :D Will take a half day and enjoy the afternoon

Saturday: The Big One

Festivities started last night when i got home after the game and helped mself to a icey cold beveridge.

The St Kilda Football Club will be holding a final open training session for our fans from 2:00pm on Tuesday September 22 at Linen House Oval.

Interesting they are doing the final open session on Tuesday, i suppose they will train at the G on Thursday, and want to keep things 'low-key' heading into Saturday.

Who's going?

If you see a 197cm /110kg blond fella with a 60cm infant in his arm, both dressed in St Kilda colours, say hi, it may be me...

Same. :thumbsu:

I'd chosen to exclude standing room tickets and thought I might have cost myself the chance of going.

As for the GF parade, I'm not sure if the route has changed since 1997 but from memory it went through the city and ended at the Treasury Building in Spring Street (top of Bourke St I think?). I recommend you find yourself a spot near the end of the parade (and we'll find out the exact route before then) because the two captains are introduced to the crowd and they hold the premiership cup aloft.

Booya, got my sister to drive me in instead of training it in (yes I am slack and hate cars) to the open training on Tuesday, planning to do a dodgy and stfu the $5 limited parking availability. :p Might be able to pick up some merchandise that hasn't needed to be restitched through decades of use.

And just mapped my way to the training tomorrow.

11:46am service from Sunbury to Southern Cross which gets in at around 12:30ish, lunch, 1:15pm service from Flinders to Moorabbin which gets in at about 10 to 2.

And then on the way back, 4:16pm service to Flinders and then 5:17pm service back to Sunbury.

Or call my dad and free taxi service back in his change over / if he doesn't have a booking.

Huzzah to that. Not huzzah to the weather though, I might have to find a beanie since I shaved my head 3 days ago.

Man wish i could go down to the training, cant get off work till friday though...leaving home for the 5 hour drive to melb straight after work thursday, stay at inlaws :(, watch grand final parade, go down and watch on the big screen at the st kilda foreshore (Where is that exactly?) and then go to the thing at Etihad on sunday, then drive home

Sorry if this has already been worked out, but are they not having a training sesh after the parade at Gosch's Paddock or whatever? Or don't the GF teams do that anymore.?
