Dont know about anyone else out there but I work a tough job that has a huge amount of tough days.

Sometimes we are lucky enough to rise above those tough days and have good days where life ain't so bad.

Then there are those rare days...I call those days GREAT days, not days we experience in front of the TV, but days where we are there and feel something unusual. Before today I counted 4 GREAT days....the day I was married, the birth of my 2 children, and being in Stuttgart when Harry Kewell kicked a late goal to send us into the World Cup round of 16. All the players came out and danced to Ac/Dc TNT. A truly GREAT day.

Then there was today. Being at AAMI for Tysons last game. Feeling the emotion, seeing the courage of Phil Davis, watching the Crows commitment and desire for a win. It was pure guts and determination mixed with some Tex magic...yes this was GREAT day, one that will live with me to my death bed as the others above will.

As with all of my GREAT days..if you werent there, you wont understand.

Did you have a GREAT day?

I spent a lot of the day in the rain watching ammo's footy before coming home and watching IQ'd game before catching up at 3/4 time and having a GREAT DAY!

T'was a very memorable game. I would even go far enough to say that it's among our best in the past 5 years. I didn't expect a win, barely anyone on our side did, and we come out and play the best goddarn football that overran one of the AFL's best teams.

A fair few of our youngsters had defining games.

Know what you mean.

I wasn't there, but a great day non the less. Tyson really deserved that. Wonderful stuff.

Funny though, I was there the day blighty Jamo and Lippy said goodbye. We got smashed that day, but it was a great day too. Jamo kicking a droppy and a goal.

Man, so may stories in our club in 20 years. We are a real footy club and a great one at that.

Absolutely Jars :thumbsu:

Great day even in Whyalla & a great game to watch an AFC all time great retire in style.

I have only been able to get to 2 games so far this year..yesterday and the Brisbane game.

Admit to tearing up a bit at the end there. Day to be proud of the club, for eventually getting it right and admitting they were wrong, and great day for Edwards.
Crows may want to consider putting me on their anti-jinx list ...$$$$$ thanks fellas;)

Very similar to the night Modra first went on the field after his knee reco ..I don't think I have ever heard a roar like that .. yesterday was pretty close !

Spot on. We get called a "heartless corporate machine" but in reality we're pretty far from it. Watching yesterday the sense of community you only get with, as you put it, a "real" footy club, was very much evident, and you can see it rubs off on the players. You see the passion of Walker, the commitment of Sloane, Davis putting his body on the line, the way the players all get over to each other when a quality piece of play is finished off. They all look like they want to be here and be a part of things, and given the quality of the players we put in this basket I can't help but feel positive about where this could take us. :thumbsu:

Same. Had an unexpectedly spare ticket (boy is he kicking himself!), took elderly Crows fanatic Mother who braved the cold she loathes at AAMI, and she came home saying 'Thats a day I'll remember for the rest of my life!'. 'Nuff said.

Loved it.
