Considering we would need to give them a decent contract to get them to switch codes we would probably fall into the same trap the storm did. Besides Slater is 28 next year, so by the time he was AFL ready he would be at least 29 probably 30 - not really worth it. Plus with next to no aussie rules background they probably wouldn't be very good, I'm still looking forward to seeing the campaigner experiment fail.

This. The money they earn in the NRL and hence we'd need to offer to get them across the line would be huge, we would be paying way over the odds of what they are worth as AFL players.
