Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Just mentioned we are going to have 5 or 6 picks in the national draft which is very pleasing. Hopefully we can find a couple of gems with our late picks.
how?
6, 40, 69, 85, 101?, 117?

5 or 6 picks, that's what he said. He also mentioned there could be more delistings.
Did he mention O'Keefe?
Someone could have mentioned that about 18 weeks ago and saved us a lot of anguishHe also said that Ackland had to play 10 games this year to get a 3rd year.

5 or 6 picks? That's surprising, but it means that there are definitely more delistings to come.
OUT
Ackland
Saddington
A. O'hAilpin
Blackwell
Benjamin
Jackson
IN
Warnock
Jamison
Pick 6
Pick 40
Pick 69
Pick 88
Pick 104
That's 5 ND picks, assuming that we don't take a pick with us into the PSD, which is unlikely. In that case, either another spot on the list needs to be vacated, or we won't use pick 104, giving us 4 ND picks.
I'm surprised Swann said we're going to use 5 or 6 ND picks and I'm struggling to understand the logic behind using a pick in excess of #100.
Seems like there will be more delistings to come. Bannister, Wiggins, Hartlett, Edwards and Pfeiffer would all be next cabs off the rank.
Our last 2 picks could be in the 80's, depends on the delistings

Yes but if they get rid of players like HArtlett, bannister, maybe even Bentick etc. Well any players that arent in the mix, it allows us to replace them with 1st year players which we only have to pay 1st year rates to and therefore frees up more money to go after the big ones like ROK. It might free up an extra 200k which could be the difference between us and the scum getting him.Even still - I'd probably prefer us to keep Bannister, Wiggins etc. rather than taking a punt on a draft pick later than #80.
I'd back the guys that are prospective delistings to allow this extra draft pick, to have more successful careers than anyone we are likely to get at a pick that far down the draft order.
Just seems like a waste to me.

He probably meant "up to" 5 or 6. And including the PSD at that. I'm sure Hughes won't be planning for that many. Unless we've been secretly salting away smokies in preparation that is. And how do you do that these days?
Anyone after 69 is probably a dud, and there's no point clogging the list with them for two years.

Is "probably" too big a word?Is Austin Wonamerri a dud ?
