Happy, happy, joy, joy, the Gremlins is on tonight, I love this movie, favourite characters, Mogwai & Stripe, two opposite personalities, but both lovable in their own way, is anyone else watching this tonight? :D

I know some people are going to say that I am nuts. ;)

Well I have got my VCR set up, I will be taping it while watching it, don't know why I never kept a tape of it before, but tonight I will make amends. :D

I just put my 6 year old to bed as she was asking me "But why did they kill them mummy? They're so cute."

At least there'll be no nightmares tonight! :)

Is it inappropriate for me to let my child watch these kind of movies?

No, my kids were that age when they watched it, I took them because I thought it was just a kids film, lucky my kids have a sick sense of humour like their Mum.;)

Hmmm.........It depends, Gremlins is PG rated and I remember watching it for the 1st time when I was 12/13 years. But for a 6 year old, it probably is different etc.

My friends have 4 children under the age of 10 and their kids have watch movies way scarier then Gremlins and they don't have nightmares as such.

I reckon it depends on the individual parent/s!

Gee Whiz, I am so enjoying it!

Haven't watch it in years.

:p

Same here! My cousins - 15 and 9 - watched it for the first time tonight. they'd never seen it, good to show 'em a classic from our era. The antics in the bar were great!

Now kids will discover the horrible truth that their Furbies toys are just an old stockpile of Mogwai someone found in the back of a warehouse.

One of the most original, fun, chaotic, imaginary, but charming films ever.

I love this film. Hadn't seen it in years before tonight, but it has held up wonderfully. Remember seing it at the Cinema in the mid 80's and everyone cheering when Mrs Peltzer microwaved the little bugger.

Like many Spielberg related films, it was part of my childhood. What a great time to grow up!

Huh?

Think about it Dan, its not that hard, we have totally different views & tastes, until you said you liked Gremlins.:(

One day someone will be on the same wave length as me.

I watched Gremlins last night for the first time in a while as well.

The sequel is pretty good too from memory - half way through it looks like the flim is stuffing up, then we find out the gremlins are taking over the projector!! [like if your watching it in a cinema!!]

Got a spare $200? I will have it shipped to you within 2 days of order. :D

Can I have one too, does the $200 include handling, shipping & gst?

I remember the first time we went to hire it out I would have been about 8 or 9? We sent Dad to get it and he came back with "Goolies"! Very scary stuff! So my sister and I wouldn't hire Gremlins for ages. When we finally did, we loved it.

I saw the sequel on the way over to Hong Kong, about 12 years ago.

You've made me think about them now, and I'll have to go hire it. Damn!

You can actually buy the dolls in certain specialty stores. I don't know if it moves or anything though. I saw one and it brought back SO many memories. I sooooooooooo wanted one when I first saw the movie. :p
