Maybe I expect too much from him.. Last year he was busting through packs, breaking tackles and just brilliant week in week out. I'm yet to see that stellar form at all this year and it's really disappointing.

Pretty sure I've heard a few times he is carrying an injury... could be dreaded OP perhaps?

He's coming along. He had a bit of an injury towards the end of the summer and that slowed his preparation down for the start of the season a bit. He'll be back to his best very shortly, and he'll certainly retain his position.

Aker's tackle on Ben Johnson in the third, and when he got front and centre to a pack, got the ball and hit someone in the F50 on his left where the two highlights for me

How good were both of those passages of play by Aker...he has such great vision and placement when he is firing.

Griff! Werribee will really look forward to seeing him down there next week. We can't wait forever for his skills and confidence to come back this year. 8 weeks and I've seen nothing that puts him in the best 22. I didnt see 1 effective possesion today. 1 deliberate out, a few shocking turnovers and a lot of panic and confusion. There's 10 guys begging for a spot that would at least make a positive contribution to the game. Just 1 week at the Bees might be enough to wake him up and bring back some confidence.

You've got to be kidding us?
Griffen not only is easily in our best 22 and improved from last week.
Still had 14 touches which was more than 8 or 9 of our other players.

You are obviously a Werribee fan more than a Bulldog fan.

Please tell us the 10 guys at Werribee that are better.

I just watched the replay of the game after going to the ground today and maybe I did jump the gun a little. Griff did ok, not great, but not as bad as I initially thought. I'll stop paying him out and go back to my box for now :)

Nice come back.
Just type rubbish then take it back. How about thinking before you type?

Digging up last weeks thread.

And Aker, Brilliant game, Glad to have him the kennel!

Sorry Larddog, whilst he wasn't dominating he did alot of good things today, he ran hard, made a couple of nice breaks and tried his guts out, put his body on the lien when required and did the one percenters. Just shy of good form.. but hardly close to being dropped on today's effort.

I really liked the defensive side of Griff's game today, many times he was able to thwart a Collingwood mark with his closing speed.

yep. You cannot fault his effort, providing he's not carrying an injury as has been surmised on here a few times, he will get reward soon if he maintains the sort of effort and endeavour he showed today.
