And yet somehow we managed to win the hitouts 51-43. The fact is that they got their hands to the ball just fine. What they did with the ball is another matter, as is the inability of their teammates to win a contested ball to save their lives... But why ruin a good crucifiction witha few facts.
It's a reasonable point but don't forget Tippett would have won a few of those up forward and the Hawks only had 1 real (and average) ruckman versus our 3 recognised guys. Differential should have been massive.
Also agree a good portion of blame for lack of effective hit-outs should go to the mids who were terrible at ground level as a group.
