im definitely in favour of the sandi/griff ruck combo, was at the game on sunday it worked perfectly, was awesome seeing griff take some good marks around the ground to

Good find.
Sumavich was me. I'd been lost, but now I'm back.
Was a good post at the time, and it still holds true as of today.
He gives 100% Griff.

Yeah, feel a bit sorry for Clarke. I think he is carrying an injury of sorts again, his early form was looking the bomb.

But now, there is no way Griff makes way for Clarke in the form he most recently showed. Griff out competes, out bodies, is kicking the odd goal from contested marks in the 50 and is providing a genuine chop out for Sandi in the ruck contest.

Clarke has all the attributes, but Griff quite simply is getting it done.

This is it.

A couple (or more) weeks ago after watching a Peel game I posted that Griffin should be delisted. I WAS VERY, VERY WRONG and I apologise to the big Griff. He's now playing beautifully and complementing Sandi very well.

I had my doubts too but I'm loving his tenacious efforts. I hope he can continually step up and help dominate the ruck with Sandi come finals

Griff has been doing a really good job since coming back into the side, and it's a credit to him that he's worked his way back. Griff's serviceable in the forward line, not bad in the ruck either.

I just think if *touch wood* we lose Sandi in a game, I'd be worried having him carry the ruck for an entire game.

Nah,
He took over the ruck duties solo before his knee injury whilst both Sandi and Clarke were out and he was really good.
I think his performance increases the chance of a Clarke trade at the end of the year.

Not really. The big question over Griff has always been his age. He's not much younger than Sandi. Trading Clarke away would mean we go into 2017 with Moller and Hannath as our 2 ruckmen.

Well he did move back here for family didnt he?

Also one of RTBs favourites and the players really got around him when he kicked his first goal back. two year contract so looks like he is pretty confident of hanging around.

Really like Griff. Good honest toiler. Hope he can stay on for a few more years.

A great example of how some players can look ordinary in the WAFL but seem to rise to the level when promoted.
He's not starring but he's getting better with every game and he gives 100% all the time.

Thing is.. we may not even need 2 ruckmen if they're only gonna go in with Lycett. We'll just be going in a runner short against a hard running side.
But if the game is wet as predicted, then there will be a lot of stoppages - two rucks could be a big advantage.
