Am I the only one who thinks the Crows might not be keeping him on the list as a pure ruckman?

I have a god like inkling that we're planning on developing him into a forward similar to Ash Hansen for the Eagles. I never understood why everyone just assumed we'd delist him this season when we went so far out of our way to hide him from other teams. Insane level of agility for a big bloke and very nice disposal makes me think that he could make a good roaming forward who can spell in the ruck if necessary.

With our shortage of talls I think that if he bulks up a bit he'll be thrown up forward in the trial games to test the waters. Thoughts? Anyone who's seen him more than I in recent times and would like to comment otherwise?

Dont know enough about him to comment in regards to his playing ability(although that wont stop most people here ;) )

It is an interesting idea, would have to put on a bit more weight though as you mentioned.

How strong is this "god like inkling"?

Von Douche, this hiding him from others business is not really how it happened.

He was playing in the WAFL for all the world to see him. Its not like he was playing somewhere in the bush where no one else saw him (like Dean Cox)

The reason we invited him to that training session is not because we were hiding him from the others, its because he wasn't invited to the draft camp nor was he invited to the state screening session and the only way we could do some testing on him was to invite him over for a day to do a mini draft camp sort of training and testing session.

As for your other comments, he can play across half forward but he is not a strong enough mark to be KPP.

Where are you Drummond? Did you see anything of Griffin in the Norwood Centrals matches? Reserves or League?

It's a concept I'd be excited about..............but - Griff is as skinny as a swizzle stick.....and I don't reckon he can build the body mass until he matures which could be as much as 3 or 4 years away.

I’ve seen Griffin a few times, but being a Centrals fan, Thunderstruck would be able to give a better report.

From what I saw he looks a decent prospect. He moves pretty well around the ground, and has a very good leap. He went head to head against Meesen for about 15 minutes, and actually fared quite well. He got his hands on the majority of the bounces but his taps went astray. He at least drew level in their contests. He was then asked to roam in the middle of the ground, and doing this he took 3 marks alone in the final quarter and frustrated Norwood as he blocked the space in the middle. From memory one thing he needs to work on though are his foot skills; his kicks were a little dodgy.

The Crows must be very impressed with what’s in store though; I’ve only heard glowing reports about him. He still needs to put on another 5-10kg though, and will hopefully consolidate his place in the Dogs league team next year.
