Monky was very good but not in Moore or Grundy's league.

I mis understood your post. Grundy will play with Darcy Moore.
I read it that our best premiership ruck man would play in premeirships with his own son.
The the only way I could see was Monky playing with his son at Woori Yallock!

I like your positivity but who do we play ruck with grundy forward.

Hudson? Witts is not ready imo.

This is why I believe lynch is in our best 22. Not a great forward or ruck but decent enough at both.

Jesse white can not ruck imo

White wasn't really used as a ruck or even back up ruck in Sydney's AFL side due to them having Mumford and Pyke in the team. However, when he play in the NEAFL side, he was used as the main ruckman where he averaged 32.7 hitouts a game. I realise that it's only the NEAFL, but the fact that he posted stats above 40ho in some of those games demonstrates that he is more than capable of getting first hand to the ball in the ruck.

Monkey was a better ruckman than Moore. Maybe not a better footballer, but a better ruckman.

White. Ruck-fwd is what he was hired to do.

Grundy wont spend a lot of time forward but White will be the second ruck for the bulk of the year so will ruck when Grundy is forward or on the bench. If Lynch plays more than half a dozen games I'll be disappointed. Witts to also get chances but still is another year away.

Went to school with the big fella, and is a great bloke off field as well as being a monster on field. Scary to think he has played so little senior footy and looks the goods already. Cant wait to see if he can keep it up!

If he can continue on as he's started with the normal improvement expected in a young man there are going to be a few big blokes around who will be looking for a rock to crawl under.

I remember one day at Waverley, marked in the pocket, feigned an injury and gave the kick away - goal. Head in hands when he kicked for goal - loved him though.

Everyone is patient with Brodie but understandably we're also excited about the fact that we have a great future ruckman developing at the club and in the past we haven't seen too many of those emerge at Collingwood in recent years.

His performances in 2013 were exceptional for someone who didn't have a pre-season as well. He'll continue to improve and while he may go through the phase of inconsistency because of his young age he will be a future star for the club. He will succeed at the club because of his work-ethic, determination and the natural talent he possesses.

Grundy won't have a break out year this year but when he does finally become an elite player in one of these upcoming years, clubs will be kicking themselves for overlooking him. I have no doubt in saying that.

Witts is your normal type player who will either come on with experience or not.

Brodie Grundy is an exceptional talent, don't expect others to live up to his levels.
