Anyone know of any number swaps for next year yet? A few numbers have opened up (#2, #16, #19, etc), anyone know who will take them, or will the draftees get them?

'John' Thomas with #2. He can be our new Scooter!

Pendles with #16 would suit.

Davies needs a better number. He can take the cursed #19 gernse and un-curse it.

JA might like Maddee's #29 for the time being.

The other lads can settle for a 30something until they graduate.

JA will probably get #31
That has a terribly bad recent history Mr JA! Hope he can overcome the stigma if this is the case.

Loved JA's highlight package over at the Collingwood website. He looks like a young Jimmy Clement!

How does he go up forward??

Why what's the history with 31? Most of John's footy has been up forward as a FF. He was the competion leading goal kicker 2 years running at junior level, so it's certainly been a learning curve for him as a defender. Yeah, I thought his video package was best of the lot, but then I might be a bit biased.

I can't find a list of all the #31s. Recently Luke Shackleton and Billy Morrison sported it. I'm sure we've had plenty of other mediocre players wear it of recent years. I personally can't remember anyone wear it of any note in my lifetime.

Here's hoping JA can fix this mediocre run, if it becomes his full time number!

I almost forgot, we also have the new opening of #13. Hope they get new ones made though, as I doubt anyone else would fit nicely into the XXXL size left behind.

Darren Saunders!
Scott Whiston!!!

2, 13, 16, 19, 29, 30, 31, 37

Give:

2 - Thomas
13 - Harry O'Brien
16 - Tommy Davidson when he gets rookied
19 - Cook
29 - Pendlebury
30 - Fanning, needs something smaller
31 - Stanley
37 - Anthony

EDIT: Sorry to step on your toes a little Hoggy.

Apparently some changes have already taken place:

Rusling moves to #2
Dale Thomas takes #13
Scott Pendlebury takes #16
Danny Stanley takes #28

That leaves #19, #29, #30, #31 and #37 to be used by Ben Davies, David Fanning, Ryan Cook, John Anthony and our PSD pick, all of whom would be getting numbers under 40.

Unless, of course, someone like The Booch or Heater are moving down the order, which could change the numbers available.

All correct, VV. I spoke to Stanely, Pendles and Thomas who all confirmed their numbers. Davies and Fanning are sure to be promoted (just a tip - Davies #19, Fanning #30), leaving #31 for Cook and #37 for Anthony.
