Well jaqui9 seeing as you are a hawks supporter I tell you a glimpse of my recent experience have hada shocker of a i don't know what with this guy i tryed to hook up with in june. it whatever(nothing) it was ended last week with him telling me he had so many friends I couldn't possibly be a friend of his. WTF is that supposed to mean yet tells me to call him to see a movie if i want to. WTF is that??? No seriously WTF is that??? Guys are trouble they just are I've been sick since june really run down because of him. i was trying to impress him (pfft thats a laugh) i even forgot about the footy cause i liked this guy so much. So not only was i not good enough to be his friend but my footy team have zilch chance of making the finals and I didn't even realise it till today yet the hawks were never gonna make it(where the hell was I) . All round its been a treat these last few months Guys are not fun they make your life hell. I'm shattered and yet guys just walk away thinking they are top SS****e. Things aren't fair out there.

Sounds to me more like habit or security.

Guys never change. If he's not right now he never will be. Better to do it now than later when you have kids.

The amount of time spend so far has nothing to do with it. The worse thing I hear is people say "I have spent so much time, I owe it to him/her" or "I have spent so much time, it would seem such a waste." That time is gone - it's already spent. The waste would only be future time spent where it shouldn't be. No one owes anyone anything based on time.

Been there, done it. It gets tougher the longer you leave it.

Becca, I have a little advice, take it or leave it.

I can understand that you love your boyfriend and everything, but if he's treating you badly you shouldn't put up with it. I'm not saying give him an ultimatum, I say just let him have his space, and make sure he knows that if he wants to keep you that he has to make a bit more effort. They say that you don't know what you have till you lose it, so why not let him lose it.

People say too that men in particular don't change, which is true in a lot of cases but not all. If he's really the one for you, he'll come to his senses and change his ways.

Trust me I've seen it happen. And it might be hard to do but well worth it.

And if he doesn't change then there you go, at least you know, and you can work on finding one who's actually worth your love.

Yeah it can be, and it's actually pretty hurtful to have to let go of someone you love so much. But (and you have to trust me on this one) it is MUCH better to stand up and say NO MORE and then the moment when he comes back is soooooo much sweeter. And you have a bit more control of the situation.

Of course there is always the chance that he won't come back, as I said. In which case you will know for sure, and your heart WILL heal and you'll get someone who loves you AND treats you right.
