Used to hate Haddin (mainly due to having Gilly around for so long) but lately he had improved his keeping and I am starting to like him. Always has been a handy batsmen and looks to only be improving, still a little lazy at times.

I think it shows what can happen when a player becomes relaxed and comfrotable with their position. The pressure on Haddin post-gilly was enourmous and he took a while to get in his groove, but of late he has been very good.

Similar could almost be said about Hauritz (although i doubt his long term place in the side, he seemed to bowl better later in the summer, granted against rubbish opposition).

Has clearly got the best straight drive in the game.

Almost. Probably the most powerful, but if he could keep them along the ground the entire way, THEN he'd have the best straight drive in the game. He just gives too many quarter-chances with the straight drive to the bowler, eventually they'll catch up with him, like it did against Vettori. Just counts against him a touch.

Then again, even considering that, I'm struggling to think of any better.

He's got a case of the Mark Waughs. He's a very good bat but gets lazy when he could have scored a few more hundreds imo.

Mark Waugh was sublime at his peak. Should've averaged 50 but too many lazy shots
