Poor Hall. I think we should move one from Hall's bad games and reflect on his good games. I'm certain his good games outweigh the minor bad ones.

Onya Bazza.

Port fans must feel humiliated right now, i feel sorry for them. I hope the Port Adelaide players are really ashamed with that pathetic effort!

it would hurt
but i still think it hurts more to lose a granny by 1 point

Hell yeah. The Port players look shattered but they knew they lost it just before half time.

As opposed to our players last year... best not to speak of it. It hurts.. still.

We'll be in it next year, and chin up Port. At the end of the day, Geelong deserved to win it. They dominated the season and almost everything in the AFL.

Id be willing to bet it would hurt more to lose a Grand Final by 119 points.

I don't think so IMO. 1 point would be worse. Its kinda like you already know you've lost it before half time. And I guess they knew they didn't have the chance anyway to snatch the victory. So it wouldn't hurt as much as losing by one point. We almost had that chance...

1 point would hurt more in the short term, but the humiliation of losing the GF by the biggest margin ever, would last for a long long time! Losing by 119 points would be disgraceful and a nightmare, i'd rather lose by a point and be respected for our efforts.

Exactly. Even though the Swans lost in 2006 everybody respected the entire team as they came as close to winning as you possibly could without winning. I dont think anybody will be respecting Port Adelaide's performance today.

Agree there with RUNVS. Port just hope that another team will lose by more than 119 points in the future, not the Swans of course.

The one point loss is still searing in me. Any footages of the 2006 will really send shivers down my spine and bring a tear to my eye.

Ahh well...Swans will be in the mix in '08. As long as we experiment with things and just enjoy the game, we will be winning many games (in light of our approach to the Hawks game).

And also knowing it was such a classic and intense grand final and will be remembered as one of the greats. But today..go ask a demons supporter how it feels to get flogged in grand finals and they still feel ashamed.

I would rather lose by a point and earn some respect than be humiliated and be reminded by highlight footage for the rest of my life.

I can't believe there is even any discussion over which is worse.

The Swans players will always remember 2006 with disappointment but they certainly shouldn't feel any shame. Port players, on the other hand,...

no no no......i admit in the immediate aftermath of a one-popint loss the pain is enormous, and made worse by all the "what-ifs" but in time, you can hold your head up that your team gave it everything and was so close to being the top side.....port now have to live with not only the pain of a lost GF but the absolute shame of knowing they didn't do themselves or their club/fans justice, they were disgraceful
