Woooooooooooooooohooooooooooo!!! I was hoping he'd get off. I'd already decided to support Sydney on Saturday afternoon, because I couldn't bring myself to support the WEagles, when they were the means of knocking my team out of the race to the Grand Final; plus my hubby's from Sydney. :)

big news and im over the moon
kick 6 this week baz and stick it up em

Great news.

Best of luck to the Swans this week, i think they will enjoy similar underdog support to what Brisbane had in 2001, when everyone was hoping like hell Essendon got rolled.

It would be great to see the 72 year drought end for all of the die hard ex-SMFC supporters.

Love to see them win it for Ryan O'Keefe too, after all he has been through.

GO BLOODS!

:thumbsd: . Gehrig gets 1, Didak 2 and there hits were made by less force. Did Schwabb feel sorry for him and let him play?

not surprising the afl wants their best player playing for them on saturday
What absolute rubbish. Shouldn't have even been cited in the first place. If the AFL was involved in the final decision, then why didn't they interfere and give Sydney a better run with the umpires during the home and away rounds? Most frees given against Sydney and least frees given to Sydney.

Go the mighty blood stained angels in the GF.

Slip off and have a chardonnay or two in the Barossa, birdmanptr.

So barry thumps a guy, then runs off, takes a mark and kicks a goal. It should have been a free kick against barry. Just how much more do you want the umpires to help the swans out FFS.

Then the tribunal lets him walk when everyone knows he is guilty.

I am just hoping now that if WCE win the GF, we don't get the same amount of whining nonsense about unfair decisions going against you.

That being said, the match will be the better for Hall being there, let the best team win.

Mate, go and have a look at the free kick statistics and then report back.

You are right however, it should have been a free kick, if the umpires saw it. And had they seen it the free kick tally would have ended up 19 to the Saints and 11 to the Swans. Hardly a case of "Just how much more do you want the umpires to help the swans out FFS."

As a matter of interest, I ran into a good mate of mine at half time on Friday night, who played around 180 games for the Pies in the 70's and 80's. He was there more or less uncommitted to eiher team although probably a slight leaning to the Saints. Unsolicited he made the statement that the Saints were getting a very good run from the umpires. He was absolutely right and as far as I am concerned, if the AFL was trying to get the Swans into the GF, then they went about their work in a most unusual way.

Back to the incident, it was not a offence which warranted a suspension however and the tribunal has come to the correct decision by issuing a reprimand.

For what it is worth, I desperately hope that Gaspar gets off - not sure where that one is at this stage - I just think that to be suspended for a GF is just about the worst thing that can happen to anyone. We want a game played on its merits and not influenced by the judicial system, unless the act involved is of extreme malicious intent. Neither incident fits that description, both players were provoked by their direct opponents, who very kindly took dives to draw greater attention.

On with the game now and I for one will be cheering loudly for the Swans and their old South Melbourne heritage. They are still South to me.

I'm pretty sure the swans had the worst FF/FA record for the whole season... not just the finals.

Could it be because the swans are hard done by or just dirty dirty cheats??? :p

When it comes to the swans the AFL is like the salvos just keep feeding them.

It will be very quiet in Adelaide this weekend so why don't you sit down and think about things before you make a fool of yourself with asinine comments. The swans bring to the AFL many millions of extra televsion rights revenue because sydney is the biggest market. You see its a really, really big city. Lots of people live up here. As a consequence the pooled revenue is shared to all clubs even the lollipops in the country town you live in. If there was a free market system (which I don't support by the way) Sydney would be a financial powerhouse because of its huge television market. I won't even mention the compensation that should have been paid to the SMFC for its enforced relocation by the VFL. Anyway enjoy yourself while you are doing nothing this weekend.

And you are spoon fed i remember during the year your ratings were way down cause you wern't winning so uncle andrew steps in and fixws it up just like he did with hall

Yes it should have been a free kick against Barry Hall.

It should also have been a free kick for Adam Goodes in the Qualifying Final.

The football gods have a way of balancing the ledger.

With Bazza there...the Grand Final will be a much greater spectacle for us non-biased spectators!

.... Carn the Swans! :D

Now what does all that mean? Perhaps you could expand on the various incomprehensible themes that you appear to be running. In expanding perhaps a quick look at how the English language actually is written would be most helpful.

Perhaps also you could explain to us where the term "ratings" fits into football as we know it. I am not aware of the term "ratings" showing anywhere on the league ladder. Is this something unique to Adelaide by chance?

As for "uncle andrew" please help us out by providing an example as to how he "fixws it up" and got the Swans back on the winners track. Most intrigued to know how he managed that little trick of "fixws it up".

Finally please explain just what "uncle andrew" did for hall.

Can't wait for your next display of literary genius.

The afl has given you more cash than any other club plus lets not forget they[the afl] sent ron barassi up there to fix things up.Dont tell me the swans did not get spoon fed for years such a big city and how many members do you have again?

When uncle andrew had ago at the swans this year it was his way of getting the afl pet team up to win more games just like the alan scott and mark williams case.

I am sure that uncle andrew fixed it up so hall would get of his charge and playing on saturday.

For two years there should be no salary cap no draft and no trades just make it a open market then only the strong clubs would survive then we would have a true competition

Andrew doesn't do everything, he can't give directives to the tribunal about who should and shouldn't be suspended.

Example of neandertholic behaviour by you.
