I think he'd be a much better option than Seaby and it doesn't look like Warnock is going to happen apart from the fact he is still a little questionable.

If we could get a decent first round pick for Green say 13-16, I think it would be good to swap it for Hamish.

Thoughts?

Will take pick 1 unless you pull some other 1st rounders from somewhere

Hamish McIntosh

Height: 203
Weight: 107
DOB: 04-09-1984

He had an excellent 2007 (many say All Australian form for much of the season) before an injury interrupted 2008 but should be back to peak form next year. So he is ready made to go, no development in the 2's required..

If he is really is available and it looks like he is then I would definitley be chasing him. He is a star ruckman and I cant believe he didnt play in the final v Sydney. He is in top 5 in the league for rucks.

I get a feeling Melbourne may have enquired about him since Laidley seems that only a fair deal would see him move, and we have the number 1 pick. Only way i'd wanna see him become a dee is as mentioned. Green or Bruce for a first rounder and on trade for Hamish. IF 17 would do the trick, which I highly doubt it would, then I think its a go-er.

pick 19 and bartram

Hmmm...not 100% sure if I would give up a player & pick 19. McIntosh is a very good player and I'm amazed that North are putting him up for trade. Something not right there...could be that McIntosh still has that suspect knee . In any case, he seems to be the best out of Seaby & Warnock IMO.

McIntosh>>>>>>>>Seaby/Warnock

McIntosh worthy of top 10 pick.

Other two 17 or 19 perhaps. Maybe paying overs for Seaby though at that price. Seaby worth 20 to 25 in my opinion.

If Green goes might be interesting to see what you get for him, selection 15 to 25. That pick alone wouldn't do it for McIntosh and coupled up with another and you will be paying overs.

Green + 34 for McIntosh? Doubt Roos will bite.

Warnock for 17 or 19 would be fair for the Dees and the best outcome. If you can't get him for that then stick to drafting kids.

Either that, shaft Dockers and get him PSD.:thumbsu:

North are crazy if they are shopping him. I can't imagine they are, to be honest...but anything is possible.

Fell behind Hale this year, and Petrie is immovable in their 22.

Goldstein also coming along nicely so I can see why he'd want fresher pastures.

Very strange that he would be considered up for trade. Either Laidleys comments were taken out of context, or his knee is worse than it seems.

McIntosh would be alright but i dare say other clubs who are nearer a premiership would give up more for him than we would.

Could easily see Hawthorn and Adelaide getting into a bidding war for him. I dare say they would give up their first rounder and then they have a better playing list to make a trade with than we do.

Id pass, he's not as much as north supporters would like you to believe he is. Hes very slow, skills are average, good endurance and good tap ruckman. Just a very poor mans Dean Cox. I wouldnt part with any first rounder for him, even if we get one from Green.

pick 17 is the most i'd give for him. nothing more.

What I dont understand with the posts on this thread along the same lines as above.....you traded Jolly to Sydney for pick 15 and McIntosh is 10 times the player Jolly is.

Go figure.

McIntosh is a former top 10 selection, who now has 5 years of development and is a proven gun just missing all-australian in his break-out year.

The only way North would trade him is if they got about pick 6 or better, or a top 20 pick and a gun player.

Mcintosh = Jolly, at the most slightly better.
When Jolly was traded he was a fair bit younger than Mcintosh iirc?

And where a player is picked doesn't really matter much, it's how they've developed/what they've shown.

Your exactly right Beats:thumbsu:

North supporters cant seem to get this through their thicks heads!!
He is just a very slow average good tap ruckman coming off a knee injury.

We gave up Jolly for pick 15 when draft picks werent at a premimum either like they are now.

If any team is dumb enough to give up a top 12 pick for McIntosh go ahead and have him.

If top 10 picks demand a higher trade value what did Spotswood give us for Luke Molon?

Keep him then, we're not fussed in the slightest. We can get a good young ruckman for a much better price elsewhere.

I like it how Melbourne fans are listing McIntosh's weaknesses as his strengths and his strengths as his weaknesses.

You must lead a highly interesting life then.

And you mean to tell me his skills are good? :D
And you mean to tell me he can actually get out of a jog?:D

Tell me what he is actually good at then? Please.

And being tall isnt a strength.

North supporters, if he is such a gun young player why is he up for trade?

The Kangas heirarchy know something the rest of us don't IMO.
