Hamish McIntosh?

Apparently the Kangaroos have put him on the table. Would we be interested in him or is he just a slightly better version of Laycock?

He is an absolute gun, but with Hille here, we have more pressing needs.

I'd offer pick 5 in a heartbeat if we needed a ruckman badly, but pass.

Hille and Mcintosh, we would have the best ruck div in the comp, but still, a great ruck division can't help a mediocre midfield!

I would pass on him as well. Maybe we can pick up another ruck prospect with our 3rd or 4th round selection. Our first priority has to be more class in the midfeiled and a replacement for Fletcher/Mal.

I'd love him at Essendon. Kangaroos would want a fair amount for him and that's why I'd pass.

Just putting it out there now.

Hamish McIntosh does not wear the red and black unless pick 5 goes the other way.

Now what are your thoughts on him?

Then we'd be crazy to accept it, especially give the enormous talent in this years draft.

Great ruckman, but i'm afraid that he's not worth pick five.

He is, but not to us, if that makes sense.

I Think if we managed to get pick 12, then we could use that plus something else to get McIntosh. What the something else is I dunno.

Given that we dont want to give up pick 5 for him, would we be willing to give up pick 12 for him?

I think if we got him for pick 12 plus something on the side we would be getting a bargain. I dont know if North will accept that though.

you can't have two no.1 ruckmen so ultimately one would crack the sads so it would be hard to manage. in addition to losing pick 5 and salary cap pressure. no what worth it with hille at essendon.

for a side looking for a no.1 ruck he'd be a great addition though

Would certainly put Lovett + Pick 23 up for McIntosh but nothing more. We have the more superior number one ruckman in Hille who is fast becoming an elite ruckman of the highest quality and McIntosh would like to go somewhere where he'll get a lot of TOG IMO, so someone like Port Adelaide for example with Lade & Brogan almost over, they'd want a young and ready McIntosh to fill the void successfully. If one of Lade or Brogan retires, I wouldn't be surprised to see them part with pick 4 for McIntosh at all as they'll probably choose a ruckman in Vickery with their first pick anyway.

I think at if he stayed at North he'll be playings 2nds with Petrie's form & Hale there.
Surely he wouldn't go anywhere unless he could be the #1 ruckman. Hence - not to us.
Good player, not a pressing priority.

He doesnt even want to leave, so the only positives for us would probably when he plays the roos for spite. or it could be the only negative.

Like BTG said he will cost a first round pick.
At the moment we have pick 5 and gaining another first rounder does not look like happpening so i doubt we will be looking at him.

McIntosh is officially off the trade table. Here's an article from afl.com.au ;

NORTH Melbourne has taken Hamish McIntosh off the trade table after three days of uncertainty for the ruckman.

North Melbourne coach Dean Laidley had surprisingly raised McIntosh's name as trade bait on Monday, but the club said on Wednesday that he was now off limits.
