we are f****ed and this is why, because our coach says Champion data had us at 11 and the AFL average is at 4 and i know for a fact that he thinks all that needs to be done is to bring the figure back to 4 and we will go deep into Septmember...lmaooooo....f**k me we have a super lemon coaching us dudes...like the others were duds but this "gamer" is pure gold...i suspected he wsa purely someone who looked at %ers and stats but this is gone beyond a joke now...like pull the pin Benny and lets start afresh

In the first quarter when we had our tails up, so many kids choked under pressure, and sometimes not under pressure.
It had such a flattening effect on the others.
They were the weakest link!

What are you talking about? Are you trying to suggest he's wrong when he said us handballing directly to the opposition 11 times was a big part of why we lost?

Just ******* lower the eyes and go! should not be more than 3-4 handballs in a chain
Anymore than 4 and the oppo puts the clamps on and forces a turnover (sure you might get away with it a few times and look good doing it but it'll cost a game one day)

haha we wouldn't get 3m without 3 handballs lately.

after about 5-6 handballs they began to panic which frustrated me so much. Adelaide knew they werent going to throw it on the boot so they just closed in on the space and bang turnover. It just pissed me off so much

The problem we have and have had for a while is that our game style is very one dimensional so other sides have quickly worked us out. To make matters worse we are blooding some younger players so we are also seeing problems in execution of our game style. So basically with execution issues and the fact that the opposition already know our every move it makes it easy for opposition teams to make our lives very difficult. An analogy would be say an NFL team having the opposition's play book. That's where I believe that Hardwick is a now a little out of his depth, he has developed the list (in difficult times so hats off to him for this) and along with it a game style that suited the cattle at the time but now we need to move on from that but I think he and the coaching staff are a little bereft of ideas on how to do that. Like most of our team members he seems to be a follower rather than a visionary when it comes to game styles so is probably studying the Bulldogs methods via endless videos right now. He doesn't come across to me as a coach who really thinks outside the square.

Not being able to handball effectively and to space instead into trouble is damning.

It is. As is that infernal over press we always get caught out with.

The amount of times opposition players get out the back on us and into an open space 2/3 the size of the ground does my head in. Sometimes 2 or 3 get out the back on us and they're having a raffle between themselves as to who's gonna kick the goal on us.

In general, our defending isn't too bad. But that particular element drives me crazy.

Get real cogga you have to go backwards before you can move forward. It applies to all elements of DH life
That's why we Signed him up for two more years This year and next backwards and then his third year one step forward.
Then Rinse and repeat

Watching on Saturday in the 1st half, when we were over hand-balling. Adelaide had about 5-6 players corralling our players towards the boundary. Then they would have 2 players rush at the players cornered, which ultimately caused the turnover with 3-4 Crow players out the back to release the ball forward with ease. It is just such a waste of time with the current game plan, when we don't have the players to execute proper disposal under pressure. We look so much better when we direct the ball into the forwards quickly & don't allow the opposition time to flood the forward line.

It's just a fancy term.
But when it's dumbed down it just says we handballed like it was our first ever game and that's pretty much what it looked like too.
Richmond would be the easiest team to set up against now they've been figured out.
Pressure them by closing down on them.
Too many panic merchants who are more than happy to throw the hot potato to another bloke regardless of how much pressure that bloke is under.

Handballing to a player about to be tackled is one of our specialties. We must practice it at training. Frickin' experts at that.
We're world champs at it, have been for a while.

I doubt that Kerry Packer would have used him to do his tax

What I want to know is how a rookie coach dissected our game plan so quickly and came up with a plan to beat us?

We only ever look threatening when we kick the ruddy thing... Jack came out in 2014 said the same thing and got absolutely roasted for it.

and people doubt that's dimmas fault fml

naaa man, what I am talking about is that Dimma has NFI and continues down this path and we cant deliver. The f***ing bleeding obvious is that we made errors and the other bleeding obvious is that we will forever be a team that is susceptible to making these errors and 7 years on this muppet still uses it at as an excuse.

LOL.

You realise, our turn overs is what is costing us games right ? The crows had 80% of there scores directly from our turn overs. I know you do not rate stats, some of those stats like over all possession can be miss leading BUT some of them tell a story. For example, our ball movement actually split the crows open a fair few times on Saturday ( it was just that we had so many turn overs it did not appear that way). We managed to mark the ball in our F50 15 bloody times! 99% of sides who have a F50 mark stat that high win the game and win it well, the crows only had 4 marks in side 50 for example.

Our issue at the moment is the majority of our players are over using the pill and getting exposed on the turn over. If our coach was a ****wit like you love to suggest, our game plan would be like the pies, where we get dominated in nearly every stat as we can not get our hands on the ball, that is not the case. We can and do get our hands on the pill, what is killing us is what we are doing with it.

If you think its the coaches instructions to the players to not hit a target or hand ball the ball to a bloke under pressure or Dimma is saying " Alright lads, I want you to miss the last hand ball in a attacking chain to allow our defenders to be exposed"...then you need to go outside, take in the sun as its all getting a tad to much for you cogga.

listen dude...i understand how much of an apologist you are and our coach according to you is the next big thing in football coaching but listen up...i dont think its the coaches instructions to players to not hit a target or hand ball the ball to a bloke under pressure, I do think our coach has NFI and keeps on relying on this and it continuously breaks down when put to the pressure test. Like the real pressure test, not when we are playing a dead rubber or when we are playing a top line team that just happens to be resting top players etc in readiness for the end of the year and making us look good. That shit has been revealed 3 times in a row over the last 3 years...
