Happy Birthday, Khat.

I note that the treacherous beast known as kuepper has failed, despite earlier protestations of affection, to send you his love on your anniversary. Have the flowers arrived?

PS. This post has officially been given "troll" status

Well who's a funny lad then eh?

Even at this time of the day, well done you pr*ck VoR ;) :D

Cheers khat have a great day, dont do anything I wouldnt do (like wear gold and blue, and chant S ...G...I...O just cause the PA tells you to ;))

ps: true story, but unrelated.

Finally realising how related SGIO and the eagles are (yeah, when the ads come on, my brain turns off generally) I cancelled my Car Insurence with SGIO last tuesday, mainly out of spite to be honest ... why support a company so in deep with your mob?

The question is this - Does by supporting a side such as that, possibly harm more than help someone like SGIO - I mean using my sides sponsor Alinta Gas for a second, its not liek you'll change and get your gas from soneone else, but in their instance, I though a large %-age of the community would be ostracised ... anyway they lost my $1300-odd a year, so there.

Back on topic, have a great day Khat :)

Thank you very much

And it's a good question. SGIO have been there from the start and in those days it was a one-team town (still is in some ways) and insurance was much less competitive in WA - in those days SGIO was close to a state monopoly.

COLOR=royalblue]My answer would be that they have managed to maintain their profile well in spite of massive changes in the global market, largely because of the association with the Eagles. I suspect you really cancelled your policy because of price or coverage, rather than the fact that they sponsor us (tell me if this is untrue). So it's worth it from a profile point of view, but you still have to have a competitive service too.[/COLOR]

Sorry Khat, have a good one[

IN all seriousness, it had zero to do with price - It was soley based on spite.

After the game, and that stupid S ...G...I...O go eagles go chant echoing through my head, I noticed on my desk my Insurenece reknewal, and lo and behold, SGIO it was.

So The first thing I did monday morning was calla nd tell them I shant be renewing my policy, then shoped around - in the end the price was basically exactly the same, plus the hassle of getting other quotes means effectively I paid more I guess.

But it was all spite, and nothing to do with cash - I'm a proud and passionate man, and always do my level best to supoort the sponsors of my club, and seemed wrong to be throwing cash away at SGIO, when many alternatives exist, so change I did.

So one spiteful, but proud supporter, who will never use SGIO again (I have a long memory, to go with my spite)

And what a great day for a game of football today here? dark, cold - hint of rain, ahhh welcome back football season.

Bizarre. Well for (at least one spiteful) supporter in WA, supporting the Eagles has bitten the SGIO team on the arse. Overall, their marketing dept. probably win on the numbers.

I shall go and tell my wife that from now on she is banned from using the cooker and the BBQ.

Well won't that effectively make the wife redundant? (sorry ladies, just a joke)

Bizarre is me to a t, if you hadn't already worked that out ;)

Seriously, in good faith with that chant going through my head, why give them $1300 a year, when many other lecherous scum insurnece companies could get my business (yes, i dont like insurence companies either ;))

But as for telling the wife that, no bbq's?

I now openly question your australian-ness (unless of course you change to heatbeads/wood, in which case I shall appluad you) on such a move.

No BBQ's indeed.

;)
