I keep getting this hard disk is full message coming up, and it keeps stuffing up what I'm doing at the time. Yet I have over 400MB left! I remember that this message can be turned off or changed but I can't remember where it is. Any help?

400 MB isn't much!

You should try and keep hard disks under 80% full otherwise you run into performance problems, files get badly fragmented etc.

Also you could be getting this message because the paging file is having trouble getting created.

Clear out your old files or buy a new hard disk

You also have to remember that Windows reserves a %age of your hard drive space for the recycle bin, another %age for the cache of your web browser and yet another %aqe for it's swap/paging file..... Sounds like you need to remove some stuff from your drive and empty your recycle bin.

at the very least, clear out your temp files (internet cache etc) and defrag to reclaim some space.

or just buy a new disk - cheap cheap.
:)
