Maheer Monarch crap last start. Shocking race. Brilliant turn of foot over a burst. Has the woeful (tonight anyway) Pete driving. My interest in this race will be with Shane. See if he drives like the dead set legend he is and gets his runner up. He'll make flipping sure its there on the corner in this race.

Great drive Shane in the last, barrier 6 and in behind the leader..... just missed in third. Like watching a magic show!

Lets get this back. When i originally did my selections tonight i had Seshny Bromac as my best bet tonight.

1. Atom of Courage couldn't drop this horse and look what he did to a better field tonight
2. Outsprinted Juryman from the breeze last start. FYI Juryman has been CRUSHING his rivals leading his races

That horse is so well graded. Been running in open grade and coming out of a G3 race behind a potential grand circuit horse back to M0 MARES race curtosy of the driver claim. 3.30 on offer is a gift i believe. Try 2.0 but hey the bookie hates money then fk him im sure someone wants it!

haha i heard that race. Franco Noreiga broke the track record at Bendigo last start and worked for it. He's in the last at Albury but looks like the no hopers saw it too. Hmm how to get value out of this race.... to be continued!
 
and what is it with NSW and protests.... only state where i see continuous protests upheld. Shifty but anyway.....

sad to see decent horses go to useless trainers. The Turning Point... i remember him in good form in city meetings. Look at him now. Really disgraceful.

Looking at first starter Bettor Be Fast. Champion sire of youngsters out of a good race mare (cant be fkd looking at trial form). Of the raced brigade, Night Radar i guess, put himself into the race last start and failed narrowly from a bad draw its other run.
 
no love that race. Trumps the form of of Lochinver at least of the winner. Something to remember.

Smokey Rey. Raymond Walker still the star around Wagga he used to be? Smashed last start in very fast time and his other run close up in a dash home. Like the previous race tho, hasn't shown the speed to lead which is so important....

Actually.... this is why i should study them better... Billy Branach... came out of the same race Smokey Rey was in and ran second when speared out then surrendered. That was first run for new trainer.

How many horses can stick on in a 1.58 in an R0 in these type of fields?

Good result..... I have a theory with horses, one of many obviously :) ... Having the speed to lead is probably the single best asset a horse can have. Doesn't matter if you can stick on and on and on every race, if you can't get around them then no point turning up! Smokey Rey will never win a race until he draws the pegs and gets a suck run through behind a leader who collpases.

Think about the best horses we have in the country. Mister Feelgood, Sushi Sushi, Smoken Up, Quinn.... all can get the lead at will. Best horse of all time and noone will agree but i know this horse had unmatched turn of foot and that horse was Chandon, probably the best example of a horse that no horse could ever hope to hold out. Crippled with injury, still could burn rubber with the best of them. Add to that his unique ability to try and win the race in the first 800m of each race. They actually had to drop him out to a clear last so he would settle in his races. Could of easily went his career undefeated.

Both are consistant and both have speed. They finished as a pair in that race behind Rollon Red Rocket so no point splitting them.
 
WJ wins and apparently OR flattened and still ran 4th

Next race is incredibly hard. Looking at numbers 3,4,5 and 9 and could easily miss still :)

I'll toss Brazillian on top as a bolter as he's the most experienced of the lot.
 
result - 4-10-3-5... no Brazillian tho!

Threemansacastle is the consistancy. No recent speed but last win led and is drawn the pole. Question mark runner i believe. Nikisha Franco has shown speed, gets the suck run behind Threemanscastle. Elsulite, while he hasn't led has spun around off the back row and form looks rock solid. Cheykinem beat home Elsulite from the breeze recently (2nd and 3rd)

I like constancy so i want to go for Threemansacastle but lack of recent speed is a worry. Like the runs of Elsulite so i'll go that way as i'm fairly confident he'll be in the finish.

If i'm going to rate them on recent speed. I would go, 8-7-2-1
 
like On The Buzzer in this race as well. Very good recent run to hold on for third behind the very good horse Artstandin. This looks a very big drop in grade on recent runs. Looks certain to get the leaders back as well.
 
2nd and 4th, TR second. Dunno why Chay Bromac was backed? shown no speed, no real form... ok it changed stables but had form drawn underneath. Waste of money right? Even if the horse had been trialing ok wouldn't you wait for a better race?
