Hartlet - the real deal?

If he can get himself right, the domino effect could be huge. Another key forward option that can take some heat off Fevola and Fisher, while allowing Waite to develop as a defender. More attacking and defending strength. His hammies are very important commodties.

Like the joke about his hammy's, but seriously the medical staff should be allocating heaps of time & resources to help this guy.

Was impressed with some of his decision making across HF. The boy might just make a CHF yet.............if only those Hammies would hold up.......

I remember watching a Bullants game last year where he was CHF and he kept on leading up the guts but his leads were ignored as we were being pushed wider and wider.

And then I get on BigFooty and someone else at the game is rubbishing Hartlett for not having much of an impact.

And I ask myself 'What the?' (no not in an annoying Rove kinda way). Hartlett was doing all the right things, being in front, yelling for the ball, making space yet for other reasons at the time he wasnt getting it.

I dont thin khe'll be a star but he's big, he can kick and I think he has a good footy head on his shoulders. Add Fisher's great hands and Fev's brilliance plus some more goals from midfield and I think we have reason to be excited.

Maybe he needs to go to Munich to have calves blood injected into them?

Seriously though, one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and I sincerely hope his hammies hold up enabling him to hold up CHF for years to come :thumbsu:

As long as he provides a contest every time and can average 1.5-2 goals per game, and create goals for those around him from said contests, then he's done his job. That's all he need's to do, be consistent. Doesn't need to be a star to have a massive impact.

Hartlett left the training track early this afternoon. It looked like he either jarred his knee or had a little twinge in the hammy right down where it attaches near the back of the knee. Was walking OK when he went off so hopefully it's not too severe!

-sigh-

This guy can't take a trick.
