I was thinking maybe trade Craig Bird (on my bench), to a rookie/83 grand player, and then upgrade Hill to Brown.

What do you guys think of this?

A good option.

Bird probably won't go up much more so will need to be traded over the next few weeks in any event. Bird to someone about to go up in price, and then Hill to Brown sounds good.

Yeh thanks guys, it seems a good option and also in a way i am making 200 grand profit (Brown down 100 odd grand and Hill up 100 odd grand). Not that it means much, but it is a good way to look at it .

I will wait until the teams come out before i do anything though.... just incase.

If Gamble is named, not a bad idea at all. Gamble probably still has 100k of upside and even though he's gone up is still excellent value.

That's one I've been thinking about, but you potentially lose $50,000 as we should really trade in a $83k player instead, but that said the cheap forwards are thin on at the moment.

What I was thinking was Hill to Gamble (should he come straight back into Geelong's side), use Gamble as an emergency and then in two weeks cash in Rioli for Valenti should Valenti get two good games. By then (if Rioli maintains his current average) he'll have reached ~$265,000.

I've got both Hill and Rioli starting so downgrading Hill doesn't seem like a good option.

I'm just going to wait after this week and, depending on Hills score, trade him to Pav.
If he scores another 80+ score (unlikely) then I may keep him another week and go Pav the next week.

All depends on his score this game really.
