Anybody out there play Hattrick?? (www.hattrick.org) biggest and best soccer management game on the net (for free anyway). 700000 players around the world. Kind of hard to get into but the most addictive thing Ive done on the net.

Hey Vicspurs, I have the 2ndeffortonians in VI60. Been playing two seasons and I reckon I have been in one of the harder Div VI's. Learned a lot so far but I am sure I will win the league this season and I reckon I am good enough already to be competitive in whatever Div V I go to.

I started in Div 5 about 3 seasons ago, struggled and then got relegated last season. There is a world of difference in the divisions. My current position

1. vicspurs 3 17 - 2 9

I have a couple of mates that play and a few of them started in really weak Div VI leagues. They easily won them and went on up to Div V, worst thing that could of happened they reckon because they all got relegated a season or 2 later. Becuase I stayed down in Div VI I have managed to build a 32K seater stadium, get about 1300 fans on board, get a solid coach and start training up midfielders. My best trainee is up to Formidable for playmaking now. I look at some of the Div V leagues and I reckon my side might do OK. Obviously I have a long way to go but I have realised that the game is all about the $$$. If you can make money on players and gate takings you are miles ahead.

Somehow this thread passed my by without noticing.

Anyway, my team name and number is: PyroTechnics (77408).

I train defense and even though its half way through the season i'm waiting on a few trainees popping a level to change to winger. (Will have a few solid 17 year old defenders/passing to train as wingbacks.) I think ive gotten all i can out of training defenders. Got 3 outstanding ones, which should do me fine for when the time arrives that i head to div V.

If anyone wants a friendly, feel free to challenge.

Team name is Super Heroes In Tights a.k.a S.H.I.T been playing for two yrs into my 7th season was in V.188 for 5 seasons got relegated went straght back up and now my record for this season is a woeful 0wins 0 draws 12 losses 6goals for and 80 yes thats right 80 against i think i better train up some defenders

Massive achievement to first get there, then beat Oceania's top dog, BOKs, in the final.

When I signed up way back in Jan 2002 it took me a few days to get my team. Depends on the waiting list and time of season.

You shouldn't have to wait too much longer, maybe a little while longer than most because we are reaching the end of the season

i have noticed there are world cup games, u/20s, seems pretty indepth you can even issue a press release

Week 14 of the current season is this Sunday.

Then there is a 2 week layoff until the new season, during which time there are relegation/promotion qualifiers for those involved and all the new season updates - during which time you should receive your team.

Can only issue a press release if you are a Hattrick supporter. Costs $33AU per year, its well worth the money. You get all other features too like, creating a team logo, changing the colour of the teams kit, player shirt numbers amongst other things. I honestly couldnt go back to being without it.

It took me about 5 days to get a team, but normally they show you whats on the waiting list and you should be able to get a rough idea from that.

well yesterday i was awarded a team, Moonrag Utd is my club in VI.51 i think the league is, Oceania obviously.
If i like the game Ed Gein then i will consider signing up, $33 for a year is bloody dirt cheap. At the moment ive just been stuffing around doing the Manager License, i think i have two games to play which will be like friendlies for me and will give me an idea of how things work.

well i won my last league game and then a friendly, but at the moment in another friendly im 4-0 down at halftime!

Training ive changed week to week, first defence, then stamina and now ive just changed it to short passes at 80%.

What do you recommend?

I've been tempted to join for a couple of years and this thread has been the motivation to do so. It seemed a good time with the season just ending as well.

I played my first friendly just then and lost 2-0 with a fine 24% possession for the match. I suppose I better get used to it.
