Congratulations to Jason Cloke.

Its amazing what can be achieved when giving someone an opportunity and some freedom to play. Its a pity Malthouse didnt do 18 weeks ago.

Yer agreed. Through all the bad stuff that we have gone through in the last few weeks jason cloke and even woey have been big standouts in my opinion. Definetly both be magpies next year!!

Both got their limitations though, and have performed in no more than two or three games in a year.

Sounds about right to keep them, then.

Davis, Woey and J.Cloke IMO will stay with the club next year :) . They've all been good in the past few weeks. Well Done Boys!

J.Cloke & Woewy both have one thing in common, a burning desire to play senior footy with the magpies. Woewy looked to be going thru the motions a bit earlier in the year & obviously being dropped down to willy has increased his desire. Think next year he will be our No. 1 tagger, on players like Grant, Dal Santo, West, Riccioutto etc. the not ligtning quick blokes. R.Shaw will get the jobs on the speedsters

J.Cloke we all know his failings, but by god does he have a crack, is the ultimate team player & as a back-up tall he is miles ahead of Tex, Hall etc.

Both to stay on the list, if only richie cole, leon davis & ryan lonie could all get themselves up to the same level of desire to actually want to play football for collingwood.

C1 made his "usual" mistakes, especially early with dropping marks, poor kicks, etc. However, the one thing he gave us (which has been missing badly) is a contest in the middle! He'd have to be close to the shortest ruckman in the league at 189cm, but at least he times his jumps well, he makes a body contest (and he can because he's quite solid) and that made a world of difference. He was even smart enough to make his nose bleed in the third quarter so that Dutchie would take the kick for him! :p
Although, Flaps was also quite good, probably because he didn't have to play 120mins of footy, and was able to remain reasonably fresh.

useful spare parts man....played great yesterday, and should be many more to come in the Black and White in future seasons :)
