Not to be a negative Nancy, but I almost feel dirty thinking about this stuff.

As in, we need to stop focussing on individual awards. Patrick Cripps winning another B&F, let alone a Brownlow, is not necessarily a good thing for our club.

Look at all our successful eras, we never had players winning 3 B&Fs in a row.

The sooner Jacob Weitering, SPS, Fisher, HMac start vying for the award and 'stealing' votes of Cripps, the better. Last week was a great start, and it translated to our result.

As much as it is an accolade for the player, it's also an indictment on the rest of our playing list that Cripps was almost able to win a Charlie in a 2-win season

Far far too early to discuss this friends.

Besides awards, schmwards be damned, we are so lucky and blessed to have these two extraordinarily talents at the club, wouldn't swap them for love nor money, or anyone else in the league.

Watching the baby faced assassin (Cripps) grow into a man and bona fide champion has given me the most joy since our 1995 premiership (yes more than Judd, nothing beats home grown talent)

Makes last season's 2 win season worth it, it really does, he is a once in a generation player. Can see why Gold Coast were very keen to trade for him. Already written himself into Carlton folklore by kicking the last second goal that broke out 100 point drought. He is a beauty !!

Very good chance but there's obviously a long way to go.

Cripps finished equal 4th in last year's count and you'd expect him to be right up there again. If we can win a few more games he's as good a chance as any.

At this stage Walsh looks a certainty for the RS award, he's had a fantastic start to his career at AFL level. Not too many look like they'll challenge for that award, he's the very short priced favorite and deservedly so.
