I am starting to feel sorry for you 9th, you are making yourself look foolish. As I keep saying, I think it is you who needs to give it a rest. Go and lie down for a bit, maybe a cup of warm milk first, think some happy thoughts, then sleep. Dream of Tiger victories. Dream of Tambling kicking the sealer in the grand final.

Whats the matter no response to what I claimed suppose it is hard to argue with the truth isn't it. So instead just deflect away from it. Buddy is a flanker oh wait no he is a CHF, no wait a flanker. The fact is you guys claim he was a KPP when you drafted him and now you guys claim he is a HFF like no other because you clowns know he does not have the skills required to play KP.

Seems like the Hawks brains trust has got together and decided on:
'Lets talk up Buddy as a great HFF because we know he wont fill the role of a CHF in the future thats why we took Roughead first we know he as the skills to play there but Roughy has not really shown anything yet so we have to hype up someone from our 2004 draftees.'

Yes I can admit Buddy is a great talented kid but to see the way Hawks fans carry on about him you have to feel some pity for him, all that expectation he has to live up to because Hawks fans got a woody over 2 6 goal games against power house sides like the Blues and Tigers.:D

Lewis 8/10
Franklin 10/10
Roughead 8/10

26/30

vs
Deledio 7/10
Tambling 2/10

9/20

I reckon I would be bitter too.

HAHA Not a bit biased there are you? ;)

I agree that your draftees have been better, but if you have Lewis at 8/10, Bling should be about 6/10. Deledio has been better than Buddy, so Lids should be 10/10 and Buddy 8/10.

We could also add in Danny Meyer.

Meyer - 0.5/10

Pfft

First season he played 4-5 games rest of time gained experience in the VFL. At thats stage far too skinny for AFL

His second season played around 10 games, at least 5 of which he showed very promising signs. Season ended by broken foot, but hopefully has put on some bulk and is ready to play the majority of the season in the seniors.

More like 6/10

Anything you have to say in regards the talent of players is laughable afterall before the 04 draft you weren't even interested in Franklin coming to the Hawks in fact you were more interested in securing Tambling. Now you have a sig suggesting that Buddy is greater than any other player in history. When exactly did you hop on the Buddy train before or after his 2 6 goal games?

I like him, but apart from the mark pretty stock standard highlights for a crumber! 4.00 highlight package with a little over 2 mintues worth of footage??? Not anywhere near star quality

They're just leaving some space for this years highlights.;)

As soon as Flanklin loses his speed and agility that he currently has as a 19yr old which will happen as age and injury set in, then his lack of contested marking ability will hurt him big time. His height will be his achillies heel in time.
So he'll lose his ability to read the play along with his ability to play below his knees like someone nearly six to eight inches shorter than him at the same time will he?

And since we're talking worst case hypothetical scenarios, what happens when the same thing happens to Tambling? You've got a short slug who can't get a hard ball. The good thing about tall players is even if they do get injured, they don't get any smaller because of it.

Just because they are tall does not mean they will get the hard ball either.

Certainly not me

Show me where ive been a troll cmon??

If anything ive been defensive of Franklin ect.. Read an earlier post where I said this thread is ridiculous

Apologies. :D

When I said "who started this thread?", I was not referring to you specifically, more another supporter of the same team you happen to support - who has been nothing but a troll lately (and probably looks like one, too!)

haha, you know you're on a winner when the best that bitter opposition supporters can come up with is "...yeah...but...he'll be no good when he gets old or gets injured".
Buddy will never be a CHF because he can't take a contested mark to save his life. You watch, he'll do a hamsting or have a groin injury and because he's 198cm he'll lose that ability at ground level that he has currently.

Tambling and Flanklin had roughly the same number of shots at goal last year. Buddy's more accurate at this stage but Bling's creating the opportunities.

FWIW Flanklin only had 8 more shots at goal last year(40) but kicked very accurately compared to Tambling(32). If Richie had kicked more accurately it wouldn't have been that decisive. You'd expect more goals from a tall forward anyway so I don't see how it's that relevant.

Whilst Hawks fans have a right to be enthusiastic about Flanklin currently, it could very well be different a couple of seasons down the track. Still very early days.
So let me get this straight. According to you, "Buddy can't take a contested mark to save his life", yet it's only natural he kicked more goals than Tambling because "you expect more goals from a tall forward anyway".

Having a bit each-way?
