Um, yes a look at the stats sheet would support your comment that the majority of free kicks went Norths way.

They went North's way because Hawthorn kept infringing.

No law that says freekick counts have to be even. We were disciplined and the Hawks weren't. Is that simple.

Took the words out of my mouth thewlis ... free kick counts can be 40-2 it doesn't mean the game was poorly umpired it means the team is undisciplined, and when you are at AFL level you have the best guys in the country controlling the game. Yes i'm a roos supporter but i also follow the umpires closely and in my unbiased opinion i thought the umpires were great and a didn't see the stats but judging by Hawthorns undisciplined footy i would say the free kick favour would have been swinging towards the roos.

I agree with that, however the umpiring was inconsistent, and thought kangaroos had the better run.

Kangaroos have always had a good run with the umpires so it doesnt surprise me that the hawks fan are complaining.

I listened to a bit on the radio and Jarrod Molley thought the umpiring was poor and he thought North got the best of the decisions, but as they say you make your own luck so perhaps north are making theirs by being first to the ball.
