On current showings, you'd think that the Hawks are going to have a pretty good season this year.

Coming off some finals action last year, they could set themselves up for a tilt at something big.

But it's a big could...

Hawthorn should look at the similarities they share with the Adelaide team of 2005. The pride of South Australia had a good H&A season, and went into the finals looking 'cherry ripe'

But they choked, big time, and now look miles off the pace.

Tassie Hawks = destined to be the big chokers of 2008. :thumbsu:

unlike carlton

you can't choke if you can't breathe

I assume you and your team will be watching somewhere on the wing at the mcg, rather then preparing for your september action?

We can watch together on GF day, Hawks would have well and truly choked by then

Carlton already wrapped this title up in round 1!

Ok - so I'm guessing that a female Hawthorn supporter has pinched your boyfriend?

Completely False. Adelaide had an aging list while Hawthorn has one of the youngest and one of the most talented lists in the comp, when you compare this to Carlton who just keep on getting it wrong in the draft, you will find that the Carlton FC is destined for failure for the next 10 years.

Happy times. :) :thumbsu:

Still less than the paltry return from the hawks in the 15 odd years before last year

Here's to hoping we don't cop the injuries the Crowd did back then. They should've had the flag.

If adelaide didnt get the ridiculous injury count in those years, it woulda been a different story.. Thats why you need every piece of the puzzle to fall into place to win a flag..

Carltank though: well the only way they even could win a flag recently was by cheating the salary cap :thumbsu: and we know the famous history of recent years of this joke of a team..

Also at least we dont need to fall to the cellar and claim easy draft picks to build a team, we have more pride and competitiveness than that..

Carlton 2008 = University 1911.

University finished last in the competition from 1911-1914.
Lost 51 consecutive games and then folded.

Ratzero is well on his way . . . . only 44 more games to go!

You keep talking about the 'failures' of Adelaide, and the inevitable 'failure' of Hawthorn... Failure meaning finishing the H&A season high up and making a prelim...

I'll take it! :thumbsu:

Another swing and a miss. I'd take a few weeks off mate, its very hard to troll when you barrack for a trollers dream!

Hawthorn 2008 = Hawthorn 2008. But I can say that Carlton 2008 = worse then the year before, the year before last.
Go the Hawks!
