This is no disrespect to the swans (whom I really like btw) but I just have this feeling that Clarkson and the players will be seething about what happened last week. They will fire, with or without Buddy imo.

Pretty sure Sydney will be pumped for the match aswell, as will every other team playing finals football this year. Goodes' 300th makes it an extra special occasion, hope the great man has a ripper.

No disrespect to the Hawks, but I have this feeling that Longmire & the players couldn't give a hoot what happened to the Hawks last week & will go out & play 'Bloods footy' & kick the Hawks' butts..........................with or without Grundy!

I personally think this will happen this week... Hawthorn will come out all guns blazing this week...

And you have a fantastic midfield which will cause allot of problems for us...

That saying... Taking Franklin out of your team is like taking Goodes out of ours.. a massive loss for you either way...

Oh, well then, no disrespect taken. I trust your feelings have surely decided several games already this season, so best we just call Friday night's game off. Let our lads start their off-season early.

We do really appreciate you getting your feelings to us so early. Very thoughtful.

I reckon this thread shows no respect to Hawthorn. We would be whinging if this came up on the Norf board about us !

Why is that?

The thread was a discussion about the Hawks fans outlook on their chances this year. Posters from both sides have been very respectful to the opposition, with the exception of the Hawks fan who came in claiming they would belt us.

As i said would you like it on the Norf board

Word is that Buddy trained today with the main group and looked good. (Smokescreen ?)

Whatever the final lineups, I'll be holding my breath to the end, as the Swans are one of the most disciplined and committed playing groups going around.

RESPECT.

Regardless of the result I hope he gets through okay. A fit Buddy Franklin is good for football.

If we gave up on a season before the final siren, we'd deserve whatever shit was thrown at us.

The longer the week has gone, the more deluded the poor Hawthorn souls have become. Apparently they will beat us by 10 goals, Goodes doesn't have a defensive bone in his body (never mind Franklin), and Bailey will thrash Mumford in the ruck (despite the fact that Mummy was severely hampered by injuries when we played them at the SCG).

The funniest thing though is that they are making themselves believe that there is no way that they will not make amends for the performance last week, and this should give them the win comfortably. Never mind the fact that they are playing a team in red hot form, and will be playing in one of the greatest players of the clubs history's 300th. Deluded, I tell ya.

If we played the way we did during the year to finish with 18 wins and 2 losses i think we can beat a team with 12 win's and a draw even in the form there in

2 losses?

I agree though, Hawks should go in strong favorites. Not sure about a 10 goal win though.

It is the general smugness of your supporters, and the complete lack of respect shown to a fellow finals contender. You're the perfect example, now piss off back to your own board.

I reckon you'll beat us by 4-5 goals and it'll be a comfortable win to you as well.

I think we put so much emotional effort into the build up and game last week that we're mentally spent.
The players and coaches won't admit it and they'll think and say they're good to go and pumped but really they are just going through the motions.

We realise that our only shot at the GF was to win last week and that we can't get past Collingwood and that if we do then we're going to get done by the Cats again.

Mark it down, you'll win in a no frills game
