So just a couple of years after the Hawks delisted Travis Tuck after he was found guilty of taking drugs, the Hawks have delisted Michael Osborne.

The Hawks said they would stand by Tuck, the son of a Hawthorn champion, and help him work through his issues. But the truth was they couldn't wait to piss him off and see the back of him.

Now they have said they will help Osborne, a premiership player for them, who injured his knee playing for them. But we all know that Osborne is gone, the Hawks will piss him off as well.

Hawthorn say they are a loyal club, but the reality is they couldn't care less about their players, they always talk about how they will help them, but they never do.

Shame Hawthorn, shame.

Osborne's still training with us and we'll obviously pick him up late in the rookie draft or as a delisted free agent.

No one else would pick up a player who will miss a large chunk of 2013, so there's little risk.

Smart list management as usual.

Hawthorn is committed to assisting Michael Osborne as he continues his rehabilitation program after rupturing his ACL early in the 2012 season.

“Michael will continue to train with the squad with the aim of being re-listed by the Pre-season Draft in December,” GM - Football Operations Mark Evans said

The Hawks this afternoon announced they would keep a spot on its rookie list open until March 2011, keep Tuck in its training squad and consider him for that spot.

End thread.

Good work Shepp :thumbsu:

Good points OP.

Also they abandoned their pitifully few Victorian members by partially relocating interstate.

Although, in truth, their Victorian supporters rarely turn up to games.
Also it is in the club's DNA to be disloyal when you consider that their supporters are the biggest bandwagoners in the AFL, apart from possibly Essendon.

How'd Cairns work out for you, numbnuts?

This after Tuck Snr showed his loyalty to the organization & accepted the kick in the guts they gave him in the form of a forced retirement just so he wouldn't be seen running around the next year in another clubs colours...

***cough*** Pick 70 ***cough***

Apologies can be sent to:

Hawthorn Football Club
Stadium Circuit Mulgrave VIC 3170
PO Box 829 Mt Waverley VIC 3149

So now there's Mulgrave, Mt Waverley, MCG and Launceston. What a pack of gypsies.

I mean, he's a shithouse player and a worse bloke, but if they're going to draft him again, why delist him?
A s**t bloke..... LOL... I've chatted to him once when getting coffee at the footy (him being injured), has plenty of time for fans, didn't mind having a chat about the game. Matthew Scarlett, on the other hand, starts fights for being asked for a photo, and calls people in wheelchairs "*s."

Look in your own backyard gearhead.

How is this little thread working out for you numb nuts. :thumbsu:

To be fair thats exactly what you said about Tuck. Footy's a harsh business these days, used to be a sport but now its showbiz.

Tuck was given a whole preseason to earn his spot on the list and didn't. We took Paul Johnson as needed backup and supported Tuck with everything. He would've been delisted before the whole episode anyway

LLD, we delisted him so we could put Super Simpkin on the list.
