I saw this hashtag had made it to the popular hashtags thing on the bigfooty home page. Basically I've been thinking of #hawthornproblems ever since. Things like having to wait till the finals until the season starts, worrying about how to explain to your 7-year-old son that Hawthorn probably won't win every year, or not being super excited about the result unless we win by 12+ goals are terrible issues to have. On top of that, we have to ask the difficult questions of which dynasty is better, the 80s, 70s, this one? Life is lonely at the top.

Having to hurry my family each Gand Final, to meet my sister and her family at 12.30 pm on the southern steps, just to take photos in the same poses we've done since 2008.

The kids are all adults now and have their own cameras, so it took ages to get it done.

What a hassle.
