Obviously Green was the cause of the awfulness because Jason Lee is brilliant, yet to see him in a bad film.

Seen all of Kevin Smith's films? That's where Jason got his break, and i must say, they are his best work.

Some of his lines in both Chasing Amy and Dogma are some of the funniest **** i've ever seen.

Haven't seen Chasing Amy or Clerks, but intend to.

His "Bloody savage" remark at the flea market in Mallrats is magnificient.

Jason Lee is fantastic and is a big reason why Kevin Smith's movies were such a success. Well that and the fact that Kevin Smith is a genius and his movies are wonderfully written and directed.

Only one i haven't seen yet is Mallrats.

Own the other four of his films (Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma and J&SBSB) on dvd, just waiting for the R1 version of Mallrats to come down to a decent price.

BTW For any Kevin Smith fans, his 2 disc DVD 'An Evening With Kevin Smith' is wonderful.
In it, he (and Jay Mewes) go to universities and have Q&A sessions.
Some of the stories are hilarious, including a 30 minute explanation of his first sexual experience with his current wife.

Damn P&P...thats a crime!

THAT KID IS BACK ON THE ESCALATOR!! :D Oh man a classic movie!

The DVD is only available in R1 land, and is $45-50 at its cheapest, so i shall be waiting.

Not going to sully the Mallrats experience by watching it on filthy VHS ;)

I love Basketball movies though....anybody seen Hoosiers or the fantastic Hoop Dreams!
yeah, i've got hoop dreams on tape - great documentary.
unfortunately that coach was stuck in his isaih past (though it was quite amusing when he called a shovel pass "dog s*** crap").
wonder what happened to those guys...

anyway, as far as other b-ball movies go, i've seen one about playground legend earl "the goat" manigault. i think that featured joe smith/garnett in some b-ball scenes. somehow, i think bo "bust" kimble was the 'star' player in that movie.
