Headland or Hansen?

An interesting conundrum if you're only playing one, and only in the forward line (I know Hansen is F/B)

Hansen's @ $293k with fanfooty.com.au
Headland @ $285k

Hansen played the last ten games of the H & A season for the Kangaroos, averaging 54.7
Headland played the first four and last two of the H & A season for the Dockers, averaging 53.1, but has previously managed > 80 for season 2005 (when SC scoring started).

Hansen appears relatively durable.
Headland is known as being a bit flaky, but has been elevated to the leadership group for 2009.

Hansen has the worst coach in the AFL for fantasy purposes.
Headland has the relatively friendly Mark Harvey.

Which would you select for your forward division?

There are much better options in my opinion

Like Veszpremi at 249k or even Davey at 300 k

so neither for me

Yep, true that both of those are decent options, but I just wanted to look at this decision which is why I didn't put up an "other" option in the poll. It's altogether possible, even probable that I don't select either.

If i really had to pick 1 it would probably be Headland only because he is more experienced

But if hansen plays on the wing he would be great

But seeing he plays for north you never know whats gonna happen

Headlands a spud, won't be touching him.

Hansen plays for the Roos and has Laidley coaching him.

There's question marks over everyone at that price though, that's the point.

Davey could get injured again, Veszpremi's played 6 career games, so what's to say he'll play 22 (+/- finals) in 2009?

The thing with Davey and Veszpremi is that they are in their sides best 22 and thats the main thing you want from a player you pick in your side.

If Davey is 100% fit at the start of the season he would be a great pick i reckon

des headland is in freo's best 22, why would they put him in the leadership group if he wasnt?

i dont think ill pick headland or hansen, agree that davey could be a great pick up if fit

Good point about Headland but as i said any player you pick has to be in their sides best 22

And yes i agree about Davey as well

hansen has done all pre season training as a CHF if that helps u in any way
