Just writing to express condolances. Footy is such a shit of a game some times. Plenty of positives to come out of the game though, lots of good raw talent on the list with plenty of pace. Keep the faith.

So your going to blame umpires for players shutting up shop early and playing their chipping game in the last quarter,that just shows complete lack of confindence by doing that.

I really feel for you guys tonight.
Mather Richardson, you are a fuc*ing champion and the spirit and HEART you showed tonight mate, gave your team such inspiration, and i am so sorry you lost it in the way you did.
We should have won it early, but after then you guys played with such spirit you should of had us.
It won't seem as much consolation to you guys now, but what happened to you tonight, was what happened to us last year on many occasions.
Trust me, the hurt from tonight will only strengthen your players in the future.
Richmond cops soo much unessasary sh!t on this forum, but when you do, hold you heads high, because you guys will be fine in the long run.
In reality we didnt deserve to win, and we stole it off you.
You players will learn from it, and end up better players for it.

thanks mate for your kind words, great to see a 'good' winner amongst the essendon ranks, but fwiw i am getting sick of being pitied. i would much rather you hate us.

Before I watched your game, I watched an old game on Fox Footy, the doggies v kangaroos 2003, round 8. We were being coached by roadkill and were looking for our first win. We went down in the end to the roos in a heartbreakingly close finish. Think we must have had a team of sh*** players? Not really, amongst our players we had Gilbee, Johno, McMahon, Hahn, Hargrave, Harris Darcy and Murphy and Nathan G Brown

What I am trying to say is, we had our share of losses, and even though we are not yet a top 4 side, we are getting there, and so will the tiges - it takes, time and some tough lessons.
