It was all set for the Bombers to keep their hopes of defending their premiership alive. It was widely perceived that if they were to make finals, they would give it their all and cause some good sides some major headaches, maybe migraines, blurry vision, panadene fort, nausea, the lot.

But alas, it wasn't meant to be. When the East Side Hawks kicked the goal that won them the game against the Gumbies, the Bombers hearts sank. Their premiership defense was over.

You could hear a pin drop in the Bombers rooms, after celebrating the great win, they were still anxious, waiting for results to fall their way, allowing them to keep their season going.

Channel 10 reporter Mike "Hairy" Hunt spoke to Bombers youngster Breeno after the result was heard by the Baghdadians.

MH: How do you feel about your season ending?

B'NO: Oh it was just fantastic? Of course it wasn't good. The win over the Wonders was good, but the victory was bittersweet. Ideally, you don't want to be making the finals on other teams results, but it's still disappointing for the boys. We've worked so hard to fight our way back into finals contention, and to have our season cut short like that was pretty heartbreaking. And as for Kerrby, I think he is one of the biggest snipers in the game, and although he wasn't playing, he's still a sniper, and I hope he gets a game next year, because he'll get his don't you worry.

MH: How do you feel about your season personally?

B'NO: Look mate, I just wanted to make finals like the rest of the guys in our side. Our aim was to defend our flag, and we'd though we had a team capable of doing that, obviously something went wrong during the year which cause us to unfold. EFL and Sausageroll have sent some stern messages to the boys, and I for one will be hitting the track while the other teams are playing trying to better prepare myself for next year, I know a few of the boys like EFL, Bachar, Sausageroll, FG and a few other will be with me on this, we want to be the best, and to be the best, you have to work harder than the rest.

MH: Why did you threaten Kerrby?

B'NO: He's a dickwit.

MH: Thanks for your time, good luck for next year.

B'NO: You too Hairy.

Um, guys. Can I be known as the Bombers hard man?

Would help my image.

In all articles, say "Bombers hard man Breeno etc."

LOL. everyone is on fire tonight:thumbsu:

However Kerrby will fire up after such comments and at the right time:thumbsu:

Unlucky that we didn't make it, but our end of season form showed that we can still match it with the best.

Mad Monday time fellas

I think your "sniper" comments seem to qualify you as a modern day "hard man".

Unlike a so-called hard man of the AFL though I'm sure you would have taken the opportunity to hammer Kerrby at some stage (any stage at all!) last week if the opportunity presented itself :)

Keep up the great work breeno

I've fired myself up on the boundary line, and will now proceed to find Kerrby and hammer him.
