Heat wave

LOL. Resorting to lies. Melbourne has never had a day of 46. Check the records.

Adelaide now has both the record for longest heatwave AND it's long held record of 'Highest Temp for a capital city - 47.6 degrees.

LOL. Get your hand off it.

Gotta love the poor South Aussies.... you have to try and get something over the Vics dont you? :)

Next Thursday it's gonna be 21 and raining. And soon winter will be here and we'll be bitching bout that.
We've even managed to jag three days over 30 down here in Hobes this week :thumbsu:
Was 39 on the front of the Mercury building when I was walking to work today.
I'm loving it, my back doesn't ache, the eye candy is everywhere and they wear very little :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

No, i just think you're all a bit soft. SA's been copping 38+ temps for two straight weeks without a single 'heatwave' thread being started pretty much anywhere.

You get a couple of consecutive hot ones and it's all "Zomg! Heatwave!".

And really, Melbourne's pretty average as far as cities go. But go ahead. Knock yourselves out.

46 in Melbourne, get ****ed, barely gets to 40. Maybe two days of temperatures combined maybe.

Adelaide's been pretty hot lately, they're getting what we had last month and then in late January. Perth was rather hot for the end of January and the start of February, something like 31 out of 33 days were 30+ degrees and there were also hot spells aon either side of that one too. The end of February was also quite warm and add into that 51 consecutive days without any rain (19th of December to 7th of February). And it looks as if we're going to heat up toward the end of next week with some 35's and 36's forecast there at the moment.

Australia's summer is changing I reckon, March is getting progressively hotter, I've noticed this in Perth for the last few years now, I believe summer is December to March, even November gets hot, we had a 39 in November last year.

Melbourne does get some really hot days but it's the massive temperature variations that make its weather so laughably shit. I've never been in another place where it can go from 22 one day to 40 the next, then back to the low 20's the following day. Up & down, up & down. Would drive me ****in' nuts.

When you live in a dump and have nothing else to brag about.

I guess we could always make a massive grab for a whole load of major events or proclaim ourselves "sporting capital of the world" or something equally stupid, but that'd be far too easy.

After spending 2.5 weeks there in the last 2 months - Adelaide, that was tough weather shit.

I don't mind hot weather but this is going way too far, the heatwave over here has reached epic proportions and I can't see it ending for a while!

I'm the same.

I don't mind the hot weather, and excuse for a few drinks, but this constant day after day after day after day of 35+ degrees and it starts to wear thin.

I feel sorry for SA. Only had a few days straught of excessive heat here and that was bad enough.

Anyone's power go out today? Ours did around 5:30. Rang up the electric company and they said power should come back on at 7:30. 20 minutes later it was back on. We heard fire trucks so it must've been a car crash.
