Thanks IP, at least you get the clearance fee!

What other moves have happened down at Souths? Has Moody signed or gone to Perth?

All quiet at South at the moment as they've closed for the Christmas/New year break. Wont open again until the 19th Jan(when i'll be in Rotto:thumbsu:)

Moody hasn't signed with South and I believe the club isn't expecting him to, unless there has been a big change that i'm not aware.

Not sure if he's signed with the Demons yet but I believe he will be at Lathlain in 09.

No sign of Farmer at the club and it looks certain that he wont be playing WAFL again, after giving the club every indication that he would sign with them and even went so far as having organised a date to sign. He was a no show and club officials were none too impressed.

There are a few exciting youngsters down at the club which will see our colts with an impressive list of players (and should be well placed to have a tilt at the flag), some of which will be draft targets in the next few years.

Will keep you updated once I get more info.

Thanks Tundra and IP.

On your colts, I saw a list of 5 or 10 of them late last year and thought Souths should have a good colts team for 2009. Looks like it might be the case?

MEDIA RELEASE

Moody Signs with Phoenix Demons

Perth Football Club’s race for success in 2009 took another giant step forward yesterday when former Brisbane Lion Matthew Moody signed with the Phoenix Demons.

The talented 23 year old was number 23 pick in the 2003 AFL Draft and made his ALF League debut with the Brisbane Lions in 2005.

At 187cm and 86 kilos, Moody has played most of his league games as a midfielder and will bolster Perth’s already strong midfield. He is a versatile footballer, having played forward and back at times with Brisbane and will give coach, Andrew Jarman, much needed flexibility.

The handy addition of another recent AFL delisted player will also give Perth some much needed depth and experience which as been a problem area for the Club in the past.

Moody will join other recent AFL recruits in Steven Armstrong (West Coast Eagles), Dean Dick (Essendon) and Matthew Ferguson (St Kilda) making Perth the team to watch for 2009\ WAFL season.

Thanks Satan, another good get by the Demons.
