I saw a snippet in an ad for the news that said something about Black being in trouble for abusing an umpire. I got distracted and didn't get back to the tv in time to catch it. Is there any truth to this?? Did anybody see it??

Just a warning freo fans.....this is the guy who said he "wished Hase did his knee" and "it came true" , and thought it was funny when it happened  Read the match thread from the game.

Don't feed the troll.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're not just here trolling. He's been offered a $900 fine if he accepts early. There wasn't much to see - I would imagine the audio may be more interesting than actual footage (although exactly what constitutes 'abuse' of an umpire who knows).

eta: just read hoss's post. Yeah, yeah, the Dockers are undisciplined, but seriously, take a look at Kerry and his keys or Masten and his fists before you start throwing stones.

I think you guys need a "thicker skin", you're a very touchy bunch aren't you??

And yes it was a serious post, just curious to know if any lip reading could be done/was it a massive spray/did a report seem justified?

I'm curious cos at the start of last season the umps concentrated on head high hits and we all know Johnson got a harsh penalty, and the penalties got easier through the season.

Could abusing umpires be the next big thing??

No stones being thrown here, I know if indiscretions were flags we'd be at the top of the tree atm.

Not sure if it's 'rule of the month' or not, but Black does have a temper and we all know how some of these umpires like to get their picture in the paper. I don't think it's anything to worry about (certainly beats 6 weeks for an eye gouge and 4 weeks for a bump) but for us as a team, it's going against exactly what the coaches have demanded. Maybe we should be happy that Blackie stopped at the abuse (or that Scham stepped in).

Now there's a thought, I wonder who in the AFL has the most potential to be the first player to whack an umpire.

A few years ago I would've said Barry Hall, now I'd have to say (and this isn't a troll) Farmer or Tredrea.

Such an intelligent response...........................thanks for the input.

 I thought you could only say that if you were posting on your own board...

Anywho, FWIW I hope he just takes the fine.

You laugh at Hase doing a knee, suggest Farmer is likely to hit an umpire, then expect us to provide you with information?

Why didn't you watch the news on channel seven like most eagles supporters do?

That's not even close to what I was worried about. I don't think any of those three would ever even think about doing anything like that. I was more concerned about what Black may have done to the Roos player than anything.

Heath Black needs to pull his head in..

If its true what ditto said about Haselby then I think a life ban from the freo board is in order. I can't see how that is forgivable... All in favour say I!

You misheard, the news said Heath Black was rewarded for abusing an umpire. People are coming up to him in the streets giving him their loose change to help pay the fine, he is already $34,730.50 infront.

P.S. Aye

He received the same type of sympathy from me as Cuzz did from you guys when he did his hammy last year/when Hansen did his hammy in the final/when Kerr did his hammy a couple of weeks ago.

Give and take, or just give????:rolleyes:
