Not at all, good players easily adjust. As example pat Kelly 3 years ago was a good young player for nully in the gold3n rivers, the next year he helped nully reach the grand final in the stronger North central. The year after he finished top 3 in south barwons best and fairest in the Geelong league and tonight he was pretty solid in the vfl for Geelong. Also just look at weeks, featherstone, Anderson to see good players easily step up. The boys from white hills will be good players at south this year too

We are nearly there gentleman!

I’m a week early but here are my predictions for round one. What do we think?

Huntly to defeat LBU - 25 points
Mounts to defeat Heathcote - 12 points
Leitchy to defeat WH - 60 points
North to defeat Elmore - 70 points

Please. A guy who couldn't crack Golden Squares best 22 won the league medal there a year or 2 ago.

Love it Judd . As many of you know I’ve just started following this region of footy the last 12 months, but
Huntly to defeat LBU - 40pts
Dunstan kicks 11
Mounts to defeat Heathcote - 50pts
Jacques 30 n 1 , mounts recruits fire
Leitchy to defeat WH 17pts
Warde continues elite form
North to defeat Elmore 98pts
Klemm & Ford kick 15 between them

Starting to get exciting now!
Who do you think is under the pump the most this year?
Elmore seem to haven’t gone anywhere the last decade, what are we thinking?

North Bendigo I would say? Have an elite squad, spent up big and haven’t played in a granny for 4-5 years now I believe. Elmore hopefully improve and get a couple of wins, can only see them beating LBU or WH tho?

Is Bombers message becoming stale?
How many years has he done the job for now?

I agree truck.
I am not for one second saying what he has done at that club is not truly unbelievable. And he has an excellent excellent record
At the end of the day tho. Not making a granny since before covid , but finishing top 4 all them years .
I think change is due at the zoo .
Still feel for Matt Dillon and the treatment he received that year

Matt Dillon probably broke up bombers voice. He's been there a while but it's different group now.

Surprised a kangaroo flat didn't look at Dillon

Interesting round of results,
Locky beating Huntly
Mounts annihilating Heathcote
North only just beating Elmore, I heard Elmore were in front halfway through the last.

L/G v Whitehills was the only match that actually played out how I thought.

Mounts go whack. That was a surprising scoreline. Heathcote wooden spooners
With a scoreline like that . Heathcote defensive end must be atrocious. Mounts surprising me a lot.
Still have north on top with the amount of scoring shots they had but I hear mounts defensive end is there strongest component

White hills and huntly for me to be absolute terrible , with leitchville and lockington not to far in front of them

Keen to watch colbo play .

It was a very hot day, I’d imagine Norths older blokes, which there is a few, might of struggled in the heat?

I wouldn’t knock back Huntly, LBU are always a hard team to beat at home

Will there be anyone in the comp that can stop the big man at Colbo?

Is it just me or was it an interesting move with Heathcote announcing a co-coach the Thursday night before round 1.

Is Saladino still coaching Women's footy as well on a Sunday? If yes he will be stretched thin during the year.
If no, has something else happened (work/family/desire) to suggest he wont see out the year?

I don’t think he is. Very interesting with the co coaching announcement, I would assume that is a handover for end of season? He’s been fantastic for Heathcote, I have no doubt he will see the year out and at a minimum get them back playing good footy.

Would simply be a way finding more room in the salary cap.
