Yes, I have a beautiful purple helmet too. If I show you mine, will you show me yours?

What day is it? January 2? Post of the year already.
BTW Bunsen, in your context, I dont want to know why Bluesgirl has a purple helmet!

A "bit" of pr0n here, there and everywhere is good for everyone.

Was watching it ywesterday while trying to join the 100 club on a data projector. It's kind of weird on DP, big screen - everything's bigger than it should be. What helped the weirdness was that we had to move a picture of Boonie so we could ge5t the DP on a good wall - I ndever thought I'd see Boonie moved from my mate's wall, almost sacriligious.

BTW -- I have a Giant, bike that is, and it's great. Takes me everywhere I wanna go - double shocks cost me $500.

What sort of max price limit are you looking at?

There are bikes that you describe which could set you back as little as $150 .. all the way up to $2000 and more.

If you give me a max price, I could put you in the right direction.

PS - Buying a cheapo $150 piece of sheet from Kmart will break on you.

Depends on how much use you expect to get, I suppose...

I got my racer from Beasley's Bikes in Footscray in 1990, only cost about $200 which was bottom of the range even then, and it's lasted me for 12 years and when I think about it probably 50,000 km. A few minor repairs along the way, even though I've ridden it on roads and tracks that are rough as guts (industrial areas, riding to work), riding it like a mountain bike more than the racer that it is.

If you stick to roads and cycle paths (which are pretty safe and comfortable these days, mostly selaed too), there should be no reason why a $200 bike can't fulfill the needs of someone riding as a hobby... if that's what you're after BB!

Thats what i am after D, off to Lygon bikes tomorrow, cant wait!!!

Thanks everyone for your help, you've been great.... :D
